Cody Lockling
Volunteer Assistant Coach • Second Season
Assistant Strength Coach • First Season
Paskins is entering his second season at the University of Utah as a volunteer assistant coach. He joins the Ute coaching staff as a volunteer assistant after serving as an assistant coach at Alta High School from 2006 to 2009.
Cody Lockling is in his first year as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Utah. He works with Utah’s Olympic sport programs to design sport-specific training to facilitate athlete development.
Paskins enjoyed a 24-year playing career on the fastpitch circuit that included 14 years in Men’s Majors World Fastpitch Tournaments, 12 years in Men’s Majors Fastpitch Nationals and 11 years with Page Brake Fastpitch.
Lockling was a strength and conditioning coach intern in 201011 as he worked with five different Ute teams.

Lockling is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and is currently working toward a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah.
MEET THE UTES
Paskins was a member of the National All-Tournament Team in 2009 and selected to the All-World Team at NAFA Masters in 2006 and 2008. He was named the Polar Bear Tournament Most Valuable Player in 1989 and 1991 before earning MVP honors at the 2000 Alpine Tournament. Paskins won league batting titles in 1988, ‘89 and ‘95.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Utah last May and was named the University of Utah’s Outstanding Student in Exercise Science in 2011 and has been on the Dean’s List

Paskins resides in Draper with his wife Mindi. The couple has three daughters, Desirae (24), Samantha (20) and Whitney (14).
