T
he Rassegna del Chianti Classico (the Chianti Classico Show) is back for the seventeenth year in a row. This is the show that the Chianti
lovers can’t miss. Each September in the municipality of Greve this rendezvous returns with great success and this year the organisers have decided to make the event even bigger. The focus of the event remains the passion for the great wine and for the territory of the Chianti Classico, which has managed to maintain its original “spirit” and peculiarities despite the world wide success. The event takes place from the 7th to the 9th of September; three days of festivities and different activities. A part from the wine tasting and the antique trade market in piazza Matteotti with surroundings, there is also the possibility to admire the lesser known treasures of Chianti: the numerous exhibitions and artistic activities connected to the show, the performances and the organised trips to discover the wonderful surroundings in the municipality (there is a free shuttle bus each half on hour on Saturday and Sunday afternoon to the enchanting village of Montefioralle). Wine is perfectly matched with music, also with the music for the youngest people, and on Friday and Saturday evening a discothèque is organised in the Parco della Piscina. For the more “nostalgic” people there are the fireworks and the tribute to the historic band of the Nomadi. Even though the wine production is the most important sector of the area it’s important to remember that the success of the wine is deeply connected to the territory which has to be equally famous, promoted and appreciated - like the mayor Marco Hagge says: “a great territory for a great wine”.

anno la Rassegna del Chianti Classico, che puntualmente in settembre innaffierà e inebrierà il comune di Greve. Alle soglie della maggiore età, questo impedibile rendez-vous di fine estate dimostra di aver raggiunto la maturità che l’anagrafe gli assegna: forti del grande successo di pubblico degli ultimi anni, gli organizzatori hanno deciso di fare le cose davvero in grande. La passione per il buon vino, che resta comunque
