THREE WAYS TO TRANSFER 1 GENERAL TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS Applicants who have completed at least one semester in a recognized Canadian community college, with a cumulative average of 65% (2.0 GPA on a scale of 4.0) will be considered for admission to Trent University. The following programs require a higher minimum average for admission: • Bachelor of Environmental Science/Studies (B.E.S.S.) 70% • Bachelor of Science Nursing (B.Sc.N.) 75% • Bachelor of Science Forensic Science (B.Sc.F.S.) 70% • Biomedical Science (B.Sc.) 70% • Kinesiology (B.H.Sc.) 70%

FUNDING YOUR EDUCATION

APPLYING TO TRENT STEP #1 APPLY

The General Arts and Science University Transfer programs with Durham College and Fleming College are designed for students who do not have the necessary academic credentials to enter university directly, or who first want to develop their skills, knowledge, and self-confidence to be successful in university. It is specifically designed for individuals interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science program.

• If you’re in your first semester of first year, send your transcripts once grades become available. • If you have completed your first semester, send in your transcripts upon application. • Once you have completed your program and received final grades, submit your final transcript to Trent.

The transitional time offers you the opportunity to develop and refine key academic skills and ultimately provide you with the foundational knowledge needed to ensure success in subsequent academic studies. Applications for the University Transfer Program are made through the Ontario College Application Service: ocas.ca

Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission by email as well as a mailed package, and will also receive a preliminary assessment of transfer credits at this time, which will be posted to your myTrent portal account. MAIL Trent may request course syllabi to assess remaining transfer credits. Transfer credit assessments are typically completed within two to four weeks after syllabi are submitted.
