Business Administration Internship Program Housed within the B.B.A. program, internship opportunities are available in a variety of business sectors within the Greater Peterborough and Durham Regions to students enrolled in various programs at Trent. Internship in Medical Sciences The Internship in Medical Sciences and Placement in Health Sciences allow students interested in medical/health science the best opportunity to prepare for careers in medical or applied health research, teaching, and med school. Computing Systems Co-op This competitive new co-op option provides Computing Science students with the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience in the field over three paid work terms. MASTER OF MANAGEMENT (DURHAM GTA ONLY) M.MGT. Understand the larger social issues facing business and organizations in today’s changing environment. This new professional masters program will provide you with a competitive edge in the job market with a grounding in a broad spectrum of business and management disciplines, from accounting to corporate finance and marketing to strategic management. Developed to address the needs of today’s employers, you will become prepared to take on leadership positions in management in Canada or abroad. This full-time, 16-month, course-based program is offered by the School of Business at Trent University Durham Greater Toronto Area, specifically for students who have recently graduated from non-business majors. Begin the program directly after university graduation, or with up to five years of post-graduation work experience. The program will be offered over three terms and include a summer work integrated learning opportunity. › Put theory into practice with a Workplace Integrated Learning Project with a minimum of 160 hours plus a 10-page reflective paper. › Study with students drawn to the program from across Canada and around the world.

APPLIED MODELLING AND QUANTITATIVE METHODS M.A. OR M.SC. BIG DATA ANALYTICS Delve into the rapidly growing field of data science. Trent is one of the first universities in Canada to work to fill the training gap for professionals in data science. You will be uniquely prepared with the tools and techniques you require to work with and analyze today’s increasingly complex data sets in all areas of the sciences, as well as the business world. This professional program can be completed in 16 months, and emphasizes practical skills in visualization, data mining, cloud-based approaches and parallel programming skills. Prepare for careers including chief data officer, data scientist, data solutions architect, business manager and business analyst.

FINANCIAL ANALYTICS Become career-ready for the financial sector. Focus on the theories and techniques of financial analysis as you prepare for a career in equity analysis, financial forecasting, investment banking, commercial banking, corporate planning, portfolio management, pension fund management and other opportunities in the financial sector. This professional program can be completed in as little as 12 months, and involves the in-depth study of mathematical finance, portfolio and risk management, linear programming, financial econometrics, numerical methods and financial management.

UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS International Baccalaureate (IB) Admissions requirements for IB students for general admission and admission to limited enrollment programs can be found at trentu.ca/futurestudents/IB General Certificate of Education (GCE) Minimum ‘C’ grade in five O-level (or IGCSE) subjects and two A-level (A2) subjects, or minimum ‘C’ grade in four O-level (or IGCSE) subjects and three A-level (A2) subjects. Two AS subjects may be substituted for one A2 subject. English proficiency test waived with C in O-level English. Transfer credits may be offered for A2 courses with ‘C’ or better.

United States Secondary School Minimum ‘B’ average (3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale) in a recognized academic grade 12 program with a minimum of 70% in grade 12 English and at least four different senior level academic subjects. Transfer credit may be offered for AP courses with grade of 4 or better.
