Thetford Tourism & Heritage Partnership (TTHP) proudly presents the 2013 Thetford Festival I am very proud to be able to commend to you this year’s Thetford Festival programme as Mayor of Thetford. Having been involved with the festival since it began in its current guise in 2010, it is pleasing to see the breadth of events taking place over the fortnight. The festival has a wide appeal to all sections of the community and it is because of this town wide focus that I have nominated it as my charity for the year. I know the organisers commit a great deal of time and effort in producing the programme and involving the different groups participating. What they need from you is your support in attending the events, helping publicise what is on and generally building upon the successes of previous years. Thetford has so much to offer and all too often we do not do justice to the talents and cultural assets that we have. The festival is an ideal opportunity to showcase these. Your support will enable further events to be organised in the future and allow the festival to develop. I look forward to enjoying the planned events with you all.

‘I am very proud to be Patron of Thetford Festival, which continues to grow bigger and better every year. Once again the organisers have put together a vibrant programme with something for the whole community and I am delighted to have been asked to open the Festival Finale event, ‘Meet the Tudors’, on Saturday 7th September.’ Elizabeth Truss MP Thetford Festival Patron

Thetford&Brandon Times “The Thetford and Brandon Times is delighted to support this year’s festival, which never fails to entertain and wow its visitors. I have no doubt the event will be one to remember thanks to the commitment of those involved, and the community spirit that I know Thetford has in abundance. I look forward to helping the event grow in the coming years, and best of luck to all involved.”

Stuart Wright Mayor of Thetford

Community editor for the EDP

TTHP would like to thank the Town Council for it’s continued support & to the many sponsors, event organisers & of course you for making the Festival the success that it is - Thank YOU!
