he goal of our physical and occupational* therapists is to return our patients to normal function as quickly and safely as possible. Our rehabilitation professionals work with each patient’s physician to develop an individualized care plan. We provide a broad range of outpatient rehabilitation services. Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Rehabilitation We offer advanced treatment for many acute and chronic Orthopedic conditions of the extremities and spine, including post-surgical rehab. Our treatment programs are designed to obtain optimal function for patients of all ages. Our sports medicine program is available to assist athletes of all levels. Recognizing the importance of injury prevention, we provide athletes with programs designed to minimize the risk of injury and optimize performance. When there is an injury, our goal is to help the athlete return to their sport as soon as possible. Hand Rehabilitation* We provide specialized care for both non-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation of the wrist and hand. Our certified hand therapist helps patients who have arthritis, traumatic hand injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and upper extremity dysfunction. Customized treatment programs, patient education, and orthotic fabrication and fitting are used to help maximize recovery.

Aquatic Therapy Aquatic therapy is an exercise program that is performed in the water and is a beneficial form of therapy that is useful for a variety of medical conditions. One benefit of aquatic therapy is the buoyancy provided by the water which assists in supporting the weight of the patient. This decreases the amount of weight bearing which reduces the force of stress placed on the joints. By decreasing the amount of joint stress, it is easier and less painful to perform exercises which can speed up recovery. Aquatic therapy is available in Athens, Canton, Lake Palestine, Lindale, Jacksonville and Tyler. Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Patients with neurological deficits such as those caused by stroke or brain injury often require outpatient rehabilitation. We specialize in the evaluation and treatment of outpatients with neurological and neuromuscular diagnoses. We provide coordinated care to improve the quality of movement and function of these individuals. * Occupational therapists and hand rehabilitation available at our Tyler location.
