Don’t Sleep in Harvest But he that sleepeth in harvest...causeth shame. ~Proverbs 10:5 It does not matter what the economic world view is – when it is your time, your harvest will come. The world can be in crisis, yet if God says your harvest time is come, it will come despite the external financial outlook. for it.
Don’t sleep when your time of harvest comes. You have waited too long
When it is your time you will be tested. As a matter of fact, you will know your time has come because of the battery of tests that come upon you. The tests will be varied in strength and duration. For some people, the initial response to the tests will be sleep – pure, physical sleep brought on by the unrelenting onslaught of the weariness that has beset this present age and the prolonged endurance it has taken just to get to this point. The constant barrage of attacks on your spiritual and emotional well-being will affect you and sidetrack you. Your family will be attacked. Your finances will be attacked. Your relationships will be attacked. The attacks will come from all sides and they will be merciless. The enemy will do anything to take your eyes off of your goal. The enemy will cause disruption and chaos to distract you out of position. He does not want you in any kind of shape to reap your harvest. The enemy does not care who he uses or what he destroys. He just wants to keep you from your harvest. Don’t let the tests weigh you down and miss your time of reaping. Stay focused. The seeds you’ve planted are grown and ready for harvest. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. - Matthew 26:41 The temptation will be to live life as usual. But harvest time requires a change. You will have to fast more, pray more, seek God more to find out what to do, how to do it and when to do it. Your life is no longer business as usual. Harvest time calls for a change in attitude, a change in perspective, a change in outlook, a change in habits, and a change in the way you do and see things. Wake up and gather. Stay awake and reap. Work for it! Your harvest will be bountiful. And then take your harvest to market!
