Welcome Welcome to my first season as Artistic Director of The Berry Theatre. This is only the theatre’s third year and it’s great to see that the people of Hedge End have already taken it into their hearts, with audiences doubling in the last year alone! So this season we have even more productions to delight the whole family. For those who like laughing, we have the wonderful Lucy Porter, Dr Phil Hammond and Chortle Comedy. For parents who enjoy our comedy programme, why not bring the whole family to our first afternoon of Comedy Club 4 Kids? Family audiences can also enjoy Bin Men and Treasure Island as well as the return of Storytime on Saturday mornings. Excellent all-male Shakespeare company Propeller present their abridged version of The Merchant of Venice; and following the sell-out success of Teechers, Blackeyed Theatre return

with Dracula to thrill and chill our autumn audiences. For Christmas we have a magical production for the whole family – a new adaptation of the much-loved tale Pinocchio, which has been specially commissioned for The Berry Theatre. Due to the ever-growing demand for our Christmas family shows, we have added extra performances for this year, but do book quickly to avoid disappointment! Owen Calvert-Lyons Artistic Director
