WELCOME! It’s that time of year again when we take our work into the great outdoors and keep our fingers crossed that the British weather is on our side! This summer we have more to offer than ever with Summer Socials, Live at the Park and Unwrapped Festival all making welcome returns and ready for you to enjoy with a welliced drink. And with so much of our work taking place across the Borough, we thought it was about time we gave all this creative brilliance a banner: therefore, we are delighted to launch Anywhere – a new programme of work encompassing all the creative things that happen beyond the walls of the theatres and proving that creativity really can happen Anywhere! Keep an eye out for our little Anywhere flags popping up in an unexpected place near you, it means something wonderful is happening nearby. Of course, we have plenty of treats available on our stages too: laugh with Jonny and the Baptists, at one of our Comedy Networks or with stand-up from Mark Watson or Chris McCausland. Feel uplifted with an Ode to Joyce and Bumper Blyton. Relax and have fun with Your Turn to be creative at one of our classes such as Yoga, Watercolours or at our free After School Club. We’re thrilled to welcome a range of performances and events from our valued theatre hirers. You’ll find details of their events on the pages titled Community. None of this would be possible without your support, helping us to work together with Eastleigh Borough Council and Arts Council England to create an Eastleigh for Everyone, making sure that no one misses out on creative experiences in our Borough. Oh wow, the last two years have been awful haven’t they? So what do we do now? Just power through? Laugh and pretend it’s definitely fine? Or deal with the trauma of multiple lockdowns, emotional shutdowns and total breakdowns?

Laughs, giggles and chortles welcome at Eastleigh’s regular open-mic comedy night. Anything Funny features stand-up, sketches, songs, poetry, cabaret and everything in between.

At 41, he’s halfway through his days on earth, according to the life expectancy calculator app he paid £1.49 for. That life is in the best shape in living memory... but one problem remains, and it really is a huge one.

COMEDY

Spiritual enquiry meets high-octane observational comedy as the ‘Taskmaster’ survivor, multi-award-winner and “No More Jockeys” cult leader attempts to cram a couple of years of pathological overthinking into an evening of stand-up. Maybe we’ll even solve the huge problem. Doubt it, though.

YOUTH COMPANIES Our Youth Companies are here to support anyone aged 8 – 11 who loves to perform or who would like to give it a try. Grow creatively, grow in confidence, and have the best time together. THIS IS FOR: Young people who already enjoy performing or who would like to give it a try! The Point and The Berry Youth Theatre offer an exciting way for young people to explore their interests in performance and theatre in a fun and supportive environment. The Point Youth Dance Companies offer friendly, supportive and inspiring contemporary dance training for young people with no previous experience and those training in other dance styles.
