The Elves and the Shoemaker Adapted and directed by Niki McCretton
Sat in his kitchen workshop, Sam Lacey makes terrible shoes and tries to sell them online. They are so bad that no-one really wants them, not even his neighbour (who thinks he should give up and get a real job!). Then one night, two tiny visitors climb in through the window and start cutting and stitching and gluing… and Sam’s life is never quite the same again! Following their sell-out shows, The Enormous Turnip, Little Red Hen, 3 Little Pigs and The Hare and the Tortoise, the inescapably eccentric Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company return with an up-to-date, size 13 ½ re-telling of everyone’s favourite story featuring stunning puppets, music and surprises aplenty.

Saturday 8th October 11am & 2pm MONSTRO Theatre presents
Bookstory
Written & directed by Ben Glasstone. Design & puppetry direction by Michael Fowkes All the books are happy in Brian’s busy library. Thriller or Textbook, History or Romance – they all love to be borrowed. But one day Brian goes all quiet. And so does his library. Doesn’t Brian care about his books anymore? The only book he’s reading now is that funny, shiny-looking one that says it has four billion pages. Will they all be left on the shelf? The books had better stiffen their spines, because to save their library they may have to check themselves out… MONSTRO Theatre’s new puppet musical tells the story of the story in the digital age.
