A mature dance company for older adults with a passion to learn how to dance. Sessions will focus on contemporary technique as well as experimenting with the members’ own creativity.

Contemporary Improvisation Adults

The Point Youth Dance Company is open to all young people aged 8-18 who are serious about taking their dancing to the next level. During weekly sessions you will learn contemporary dance technique and phrases of movement alongside the opportunity to choreograph and create your own work. There are opportunities to represent The Point at local, regional and national dance platforms. Participate in exclusive masterclass workshops with professional touring companies, and to observe performances and rehearsals with our Associate Artists and professional companies.
14 – 18 years

Advanced Dance Training at The Point
Centre for Advanced Training
Hire our Dance Studio The Point Dance Studio is the perfect place for you to deliver your own movement classes, for rehearsals or for auditions. You can hire our space for one off sessions or for weekly or monthly block bookings.
In collaboration with the UK’s premier centre for dance The Place, we host the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT): a unique training programme for young people aged 12-15. The Point is one of only a handful of CAT satellite centres across the UK, supported by The Place and Department for Education through the Music and Dance Scheme.
Elevate Summer School Aimed at 14-21 year old aspiring dancers, Elevate is a week of intensive dance classes and workshops, taught by some of the country’s top professional dancers, choreographers and teachers. Our Elevate Integrate week provides a platform for disabled and non-disabled dancers to work together. Please contact the dance department on 023 8062 7804 for more information.
