Courage + Passion = Journalism Richa Nigam Tonk: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, JECRC University organized an expert lecture on Saturday. Lucknow based senior journalist and political analyst Sharat Pradhan was the speaker of the event. Pradhan talked about 'Pitfalls of reporting from Uttar Pradesh'. The program was organized in online mode. During the lecture, the journalist talked about the challenges a journalist has to face in Uttar Pradesh. Giving a few instances, he told students about how politics control everything in Uttar Pradesh (UP). He told few true stories set around journalists and their journalism. He mentioned a journalist named Jagendra Singh who was burnt alive in UP's Shahjahanpur for his exposure to illegal sand mining and other misdemeanors. Jaipur: A live session was conducted by the Literature Club of JECRC University with Kavya Sharma, author of the book “All Seasons Alike” on 4th of April. Here she talked about her journey, her life experiences and also shared a piece of advice to our budding writers out there. She was eight years old when she started writing. It took two years to write and publish the book. After being asked that what is the reason behind choosing this title, she said that there are some people out there who have so much suffering in their life that each season is kind of same for them, so that is where she got an idea from. She said to show power of your pen first of all you should read enough, if you not read you cannot be a good writer. It will improve your horizon, your vocabulary and your style of writing and make sure you write daily. Secondly, you should not be over critical about your work,
she feels if you are not in love with your own work you can’t expect others to fall in love with it, its ok people go up and fall down but you should be confident about your own work. Apart from being a writer, she is also an editor in chief as well as the founder of the magazine “The words of Silence”. This is for those who do not want to publish full flagged poetry or short fiction book, there are people out there who have that one poem and can publish that in literary magazine. They compile beautiful work by different people in one. She is a trained Kathak dancer, in her free time, she loves to dance and spend time with her family. She shared that Instagram and LinkedIn are the two main platforms she uses to get maximum advantage. Instagram it is very good to creatively approach your audience through your artistic pieces whereas LinkedIn is good for building up a network and for sharing a more professional approach to the users.

Her mother shared the poster of Miss Iconic Rajasthan auditions and from there, her journey started. Her journey began with 28 other girls who were not just her competitors but became a family to her. She is always grateful to her parents who always supported and respected her decisions. She feels blessed to have them with her. Talking about the award of Miss Photogenic 2021, she says, it’s a great honor for her to get this award and she also said that she is a camera-friendly person. Jaipur- In the state budget, 2021-22 Rajasthan has become the first state in the country, where each family will get health insurance of Rs 5 lakh each year. People can get registered and be assured of cashless treatment. On Thursday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced a cashless 'Medicaid scheme worth Rs 5 lakh for each family of the state, starting the registration for its Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. The scheme worth INR 3,500 crore and provides free insurance to all families under BPL (Below poverty line), NFSA (National Food Security Act) and SECC (Socio-Economic Caste Census).
