Today’s writer is a complete package

Budding Journalist interacts with author Kritika Sehgal Kanan Agarwal Jaipur. Writer is no less than an actor performing in front of a camera or a singer performing on stage, says author Kritika Sehgal. Sehgal, the writer of 'The Best Version of Me', 'Perspective', and a series of books titled 'UNDO', claims today’s writer is a complete package. Young writers are not restricted to behind the scenes, she adds, that today a writer is an artist. He can write on paper as well perform on stage. In an interview with budding jourrnalists Kanan Agarwal, Sehgal invoked the analogy of marriage to explain writing. “Writing is just like a marriage where you

live for it, express your emotions to each other without any doubt.” Sehgal, who writes about life experiences and on the topics people usually do not talk about, said poems do not need to be in rhyme. They just need words and emotions in them. She said those who want to write should have patience and confidence in themselves. “First, they should write what they are thinking and redraft it. The more you write the more you learn. The audience will come if you will believe in your writing. Difficulties are there in everything but never give up on them, work your best to overcome them and be successful.”

Why it is always women who have to suffer? Gender inequality continues to affect many girls in India

Mohini Ray Kota: Gender inequality means men and women are not treated equally. In India a child is sexually abused every 15 minutes. According to the latest government figures, a total of 1006958 cases of child abuse were reported in India just in the year 2016 but due to general reluctance to talk about the topic the real number of cases could be much higher.

Woman is traditionally considered by the society as weaker sex. She has been accorded a subordinate position to men. She is exploited, degraded, violated, and discriminated against both at her home and outside - in schools and different verticals of the society. Girl child is not given preference in sports like cricket, football, hockey just because these are considered to be games only fit to be played by boys. Gender inequality has been ram-

pant for ages. If you look at the history women did not even have a write to vote. In india, the an-

Following excellent performances from Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling, the Lions snatched a win against Czech Republic after a goal by Raheem Sterling. It was thanks to Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish who steered England to a huge win in a crucial game. Jack Grealish who provided the a sweet cross to Sterling inside where it was really easy for him to head in the goal.

of the conditions of his lungs. Orwell returned to Wallington, and in late 1939 he wrote his first collection of essays, Inside the Whale. Subsequently, he reviewed plays, wrote for films and books for The Listener.

her husband's pyre and burn to death. It was initially a voluntary act considered heroic but later became a forced practice. Although Sati is now banned all over India, it has a dark history. People say they respect women and give equal rights but then why women are the ones who are being forced to practice such rituals and please men. At all-India level, the male literacy rate is higher at 84.7 per cent compared to 70.3 per cent among women.

England lead narrowly and kept their 1-0 lead against the Czech Republic thanks to solid defence by their centre halves and the captain returning from injury. How did Gurukul system end in India? Relive and understand the Gurukuls once again

Bhavika Nandwana Jaipur. Convent schools doomed. The Indian Education Act was created in 1858. It was drafted by Lord Macaulay. But before that he had surveyed the education system here (India), even before that many British had given their report about the education system of India. An officer of the British was G.W. Luther and the other was Thomas Munro! Both surveyed different areas at different times. Luther, who surveyed North India, wrote that there is 97% literacy and Munro, who surveyed South India, wrote that there is 100% literacy here. Macaulay was clear that if India is to be enslaved forever, its “native and cultural education system” will have to be completely demolished and replaced by the “English educa-

tion system” and only then the body in this country Hindustani, but the British will be born out of mind and will work in our interest when they come out of the university of this country. Macaulay is using a proverb “Just as a field is fully plowed

before a crop is planted, so it must be plowed and an English education system must be introduced.” Therefore, he first declared the Gurukuls illegal. When the Gurukuls became illegal, the assistance they received from the society became illegal.

Then Sanskrit was outlawed and the Gurukuls of this country wandered around. He set them on fire, beat and beat the gurus teaching in it, put him in jail. Till 1850, there were ‘7 lakh 32 thousand’ gurukuls in this country and at that time there were

said significant local manufacturing of vaccines is happening at the serum Institute of India. But getting the additional vaccines from us and also from Moderna will contribute significantly, he added. “My hope is that very soon we will finalise the approval of the product in India by the Indian health care authorities and the agreement with the government so that we can also start sending vaccines, on our side,” claimed Dr. Bourla.

villages in this country ‘7 lakh 50 thousand’. That is, on an average there was one Gurukul in every village and all those who used to be Gurukuls used to have ‘Higher Learning Institute’ in today’s language. 18 subjects were taught in all of them and these Gurukul community people used to run together and not the king, the Maharaja. Education was imparted free of charge in Gurukuls. In this way all the Gurukuls were abolished and then English education was declared legal and the first convent school was opened in Calcutta. At that time, it was called ‘Free School’. Under this law, Calcutta University was created in India, Bombay University was created, Madras University was created, these three slavery universities are still in the country!

Chak De India!

Pehli baar kisi gore ko India ka tiranga leharate hue dekh raha hoon.. Akshat Tiwari Jaipur. Released on 10th August 2007, Chak De India is a movie which proves that girls are not meant only for household work, a movie which exposes the media, and a movie which can still give you goose bumps. The plot of this amazing movie was based on a real story - the story of an Indian hockey player Meer Ranjan Negi. The role of Mr. Negi was played by Shah Rukh Khan as Kabir Khan. With the cast of approximately 25 actors and actresses and under the production of Yash Raj Films, this movie was a blockbuster hit of its time.

The movie starts with an international level final match of hockey between India and Pakistan in which India loses and as the practice is a player of Pakistan shakes hand with the captain of Indian team Kabir Khan. A photographer takes a snap and this picture becomes the base for rumour-mongering that the captain of Indian team is a traitor. A hype is created that Kabir Khan is disloyal to his country. He is cursed by people of his locality, his community, and is defamed by Indian media. Seven years later, Kabir Khan wants to be appointed the coach of Indian National Women Hockey Team. But members of the Indian Na-

tional Hockey Federation taunts him “Belan Chalane Wali Lad-

kiyan Kahan Nikker Pahen Kar Hockey Khelengi?” (How would girls rolling chapatis would hockey in shorts?). There are also people who ask him whether he took up the job to retrieve his lost reputation and respect. After insulting him, the Federation finally allows him to coach the women team. Then the girls’ training starts and there is no need to tell that it is a tricky task for coach Kabir Khan. But he endures everything and trains all 16 girls superbly. But problems do not end there. Somewhere on the way all the girls turn against Kabir and question his training method and write an application seeking his removal and ap-

pointment of a new coach. But subsequently they apologize and request him to continue training. There is another twist when the head of Indian National Hockey Federation does not allow women’s team to go to the world cup because, according to him and his colleagues, boys hockey team and not girls can bring a medal for India. But Kabir Khan has confidence in his team so he offers a hockey match between boys’ team and girls’ team. But girls’ team loses the match but their way of playing and their confidence level impress everyone and therefore they decid to send girls’ team for the world cup.
