Yash Shaktawat Jaipur. “People are not paying women the right amount of money for their work. Also, women never fight for it”, said Annie Zaidi during the Wonder of Words session, JECRC University, Jaipur. On March 9, the renowned writer Annie Zaidi interacted with students. She is the writer of ‘Known Turf: Bantering with Bandits’ which is a collection of Essays. In the session, Annie Zaidi told students about her journey as a writer. She also talked about the process and preparation behind her books. She said, “I started by reading the books written by the female writers. I tried to un-

derstand the literature written by them. So, that I can relate it better in my book.” During the interesting rapid-fire, she answered that she loves to read non-fiction books. She wants to empower women through her books. Also, society must pay women the right amount of money for their work. All this will take

time because it is rooted in our system for a long time. Women must fight for their rights. In the session, she also mentioned the Genesis of Gender bias. She is also the writer of ‘Other True Tales' which was shortlisted for the Vodafone Crossword Book Award in 2010. As a writer, she writes in almost every form.

Students present different cultures at one platform in WOW Ridhika Dayal Das

Jaipur. The JECRC University organized the Wonder of Words: A Literary Extravaganza on an online platform. In this event, a session named as “Atulya Bharat: Aaina Samaaj Ka, Ek Paricharcha” was organized. Students present different cultures of ‘Incredible India’ at one platform in this session. The student of JECRC University, Jaipur represented their culture with pride. In each panel, there were three panelists of different cultures. Each panelist was questioned about their traditions, culture, food and folk. They presented all the things using their mother tongue and weared traditional attire which added more stars to the event.

In the first panel, Harsh, student of department of JMC represented Punjab, Pulkit, student of JMC presented Rajasthan and S. Aishwarya, student of JMC represented Kerala. In the second panel, Lakshmi represented West Bengal, Ridhima Raina, student of JMC represented Jammu and Kashmir and Ankit Katyayan represented Bihar state.

They shared many things about their region and tradition. They informed about their food, fashion and also sang their folk songs. The session was full of fun and knowledge. The moderator of the session was Bhoomika Kapoor and Brijesh Kumar Mishra. The student coordinator were Sanskriti Agarwal and Shivam Pathak.

Palak bansal Jaipur: Wonder of Words (WOW), the literary event of JECRC University was held online for the first time from March 8 to March 10, 2021. Due to the pandemic, all the students, participants, teachers and guest gathered and attended the session on the zoom platform. The faculty coordinator P. Sivani Singh, Shailendra P. Singh Bhati, Dr. Abhilasha Kaushik and Bhoomika Kapoor organized this event. On the first day, JECRC University invited Ajay Sood as the speaker. He discussed Travelogue, the amalgamation of culture and also got insights into travelling, food, photography. He is a specialized travel photographer from India who thrives

The fourth movie was presented by Jahnvi Gangwal, a 3rd year Law student. After watching and observing the work Ravi Kant Sharma told students about their area of improvements so that they can achieve success in film making. He gave his blessings for the future. Ghanishtha Vyas and Komal Kodwani moderated this session. Event coordinator Aman Mathur gave the vote of thanks.
