Poem

The big thing to me is you They say it's about the small things But only valid after you have the big one After all, what is a bird without wings And what is the world without the sun That big thing to me is you That makes me believe that all fairy tales are true And together we are so strong The world is a happy place, and nothing is wrong! -------- Arshita Kriplani, student of Ist year BA (JMC), JU.

Excitement can be seen on faces Budding journalist visited school after the guidlines of the state govt.

Bhavika and Muskan Jaipur. "The students are excited about offline classes but safety is a priority. They are being called in batches to avoid gathering and follow the covid guidelines and social distancing", said, Ajay Kumar Jangid vice president of a school in the Jaipur city. Budding journalists Muskan Kumawat and Bhavika Nandwana interacted with authorities of schools amid unlocking of schools. The proper safety

measures and precautions are taken. Schools only permit students who wear mask. Even doctors and nurses are available at schools for the health concerns

of the students. In some schools, transport is being provided to the students. But, some students come to schools with parents consent and parents drop and

pick them up. Students in schools do lunch with their teachers in class to avoid the crowd. Separate wings are there for classes so that everyone is seated according to social distancing. Students carry their phones with them. In some schools, students are called in batches. While in some, all students are called but students are being seated approximately 12 in a room. The different time table is set so that everyone is able to attend and get information or knowledge about all the classes.

Dr. Prashant Sahay Saxena, Director, Distance Education, JECRC University

Distance Learning has its own inportance

Akshat Tiwari

Jaipur. “Offline classes have been started. But along with regular classes, distance education has its own importance”. Said, Prof. Prashant Sahay Saxena, Director, Distance Education, JECRC University. Budding Journalist interacted with him. Here is an excerpts of the interaction; He shared that there are 2 modes of delivering education, one is the interactive mode and other is open and distance learning mode. Universities which are

approved by UGC for delivering education in both modes are called dual-mode university. So now, JECRC University is a dual- mode university.

In the reply of a Question, he said that “In JU, delivery is based on personal contact program and now it is being delivered via online mode.

“Our students of Distance Education are from semi-urban areas or rural areas so, there are some problems with network connections. So now we are creating a depositary of recorded lectures and whenever a student login to that portal with their college username and password they will be able to get those lectures again”, he added. JECRC University organizes the CRT classes for the placement drive. So many times students got confused that when they will study via Distance Education , then they will got campus placement or not. But JU primarily

covers those who are unable to avail the advantages of regular education. Due to some circumstances, they have to indulge themselves in a job at the time of study so due to this distance education they can get better opportunities for their career. Talking about regular classes so, The future of Distance Education is very bright but we have to be very conscious. There is no doubt that regular classes are the best option but distance learning is also very important because it doesn’t disturb the time management of the one who is implementing this.

Hopes shine among the flood-hit farmers

JU News (PIB)

Jaipur. Koila Devi, an elderly marginal farmer of a tiny village in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, had given up hopes of earning a decent living from the produce of her agricultural land. Like many farmers’ in northeastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, floods and associated water logging for more than three to four months affected her agricultural produce severely each year. Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group (GEAG) provided her with technical support on effective farming planning like gradient-based cropping system, multi-layered farming with

time and space management, appropriate crop combination, raised bed low tunnel poly house, and appropriate utilization of weather advisory. Such S&T-based interventions like flood resilient farming practices and related technologies are inspiring the farming community.

Jaipur. In today’s world, one in four people will be mentally ill and they are not aware of this mental health disorders have risen significantly over the past decade with no corresponding increase in adults. They need to normalize the conversation to discuss the problems. A person’s behavior, mood, thinking, and well being which makes a person ill who can’t think and work accordingly and whomsoever is experiencing mental illness this society should become more empathetic and supportive and help-seeking environment to the people. Mental illness is a serious issue to consider as it rising on a very fast

scale. The individual experiencing mental health face the difficulties like people out in the world declare them mental without knowing the actual. A situation that makes the individual demotivated and then they don’t express the feelings out and gets more depressed.

Counting disadvantages of the pandemic Akshat Bhatnagar Jaipur. As we are all aware of the current surroundings that have changed everything from how we play to even work, Yes we’re talking about the pandemic and how it has drastically affected our work culture. Definitely working from the comfort of our homes may seem easy but it has more disadvantages than advantages, work from home is not the dream that came out to be it can heavily affect one’s psyche and create mental stress as one gets detached from one home life because the office is right down the hall and due to that detachment one tends to feel stressed and a sense of detachment from his/her personal life. One can pretty much say goodbye

to motivation if one decides to work from the comfort of the home. When one is not required to wake up early to get to the office, he/she can bet they’ll decide to sleep in. When you don’t have to get dressed, you can guarantee you will lounge around in your pajamas all day. When you aren’t faced with the typical social norms of the workplace, you will find that you are far less likely to do things that are good for your motivation

levels, such as waking up early and looking your best! Working from home means that it’s more difficult to bond with colleagues. The intangible of face-to-face interaction with like-minded co-workers create synergy — and without it, there’s a negative impact on a business’s ability to innovate. Work from home despite having the advantages of working from the comfort of our homes, it all houses more cons for us that we can imagine.
