Everywhere in our surrounding, we only see, people preparing themselves to be a photogenic face. But, the question arises that at first, who created this idea of photography and images According to history of camera and photography, many names of scientists are there. Actually, it did not happen all of sudden, but most prominent name was George Eastman, who started manufacturing paper film in 1885

before switching to celluloid in year 1888 to 1889. But before these, it was all started at the time of camera obscura. this was the device which used only pinhole or called a lens to project an image

upside down. The image was projected on a paper and it was only a shadow on which we can draw according to the shadow on paper. You will be amazed to know that there was a time where we did not have a method to preserve the images produced by the cameras .

The first camera was invented by Alexander Wolcott. His camera design was patented on 8th May, 1840. At the time of Wolcott, it was possible to capture the image. After ten years Louis Daguerre created practical photographic mechanism known as daguerreotype. By using so many formulas and chemicals the image could know be developing. Kodak was the first product invented by eastman and it was launched again in Market with retina I introducing 135 cartridge

In 1952, we saw first ever Japanese SLR with 35mm film – Asahiflex introduced by Asahi Optical Company. After that so many cameras launched by Japanese company. The world of camera is taking up a very fast growing baby step, so many types of camera were launched successfully. Facts about camera

The first digital camera was designed in December, 1975 by Kodak. The camera was designed by the engineer, Steve Sassoon and it weighed 8 pounds and recorded black and white pictures at 0.01 megapixels. Probably not even worth it to retouch a photo taken

of yourself with this camera. The man with the largest collection of cameras is Dilish Parekh from Mumbai. He has a collection of 4,425 antique cameras. He has collected them since 1977, and his oldest camera dates back to 1907. Going to his house must be like entering heaven for photographers, like a kid in a candy store. Modern digital cameras, which are the most common cameras in use today, use an electronic image sensor to capture the image, which is then stored in its memory until it is downloaded to an electronic device like a

computer or printer. The chemicals which is to be used for developing photographs are called photographic fixatives. These used to be very dangerous and poisonous chemicals which, if consumed, could also lead to death. The Gunnies World Record for the largest photography competition entrant is achieved by Vereeniging Wikimedia Nederland from Netherlands.
