Sow in tears, Reap in Joy (Ps. 126:5) Rae and I were fully aware of this Biblical principle three years ago when we arrived here. We had experienced spiritual ministry and we knew that along with the privileges of building into others, there is always an unknown measure of sacrifice associated with it. We have had the privilege of being your representatives to the 55 students who recently graduated from NTBI. We would never wish the difficulty of ministering here on you but we would want you know the incredible impact that these students will have and are having on their world.

.

Some of these arrived here doubting their salvation, entrapped by self righteousness, while others felt crippled by guilt over past sins. They were com-

pletely unaware of the riches and provision in Christ for daily living. After two years of studying the Word, some are now functioning as youth pastors, Sunday school teachers, mentors, and at least one young man skipped the next phase of training and will be serving in New Guinea this Summer as an “associate” member of New Tribes. We are very honored to have helped “sow” the Word of God into their lives and now, we are “enabled” to “reap” in joy as they journey on. Suzie has had a great school year. We have seen great progress in reading and writing (see hilarious picture below). I suppose that Suzie’s situation has been one of sowing in tears and reaping in joy. Chelsea works at an Orthopedic

rehab center across the street from the Bible school. One day, a gentlemen that she works with was lamenting that his son’s date for the prom backed out at the last minute. Chelsea knew Danny from school and without hesitation, our daughter offered to take him to prom. Rae and I didn't even know what to say. I guess she didn’t mind the humiliation associated with sowing in “tears” to be a blessing to Danny and his parents. Please continue to pray for us here that we will also draw on our abundant provision in Christ for the strength to minister. Thanks you for your kind prayers and gifts. Thank you for being willing to “sow in tears” with us. Our love, Rich and Rae
