Greetings from Jackson, MI! by Ric

Our family is so thankful for you! You keep us going in ministry. Even more importantly, you love, encourage and support a group of students in Jackson, MI who are learning God's Word and planning to GO into all the world, making disciples of every nation. How you may ask? Through your faithful prayer and financial support of our family. The various opportunities our family has to nudge these students along in their walk with God are simply mind-boggling.

Katie and Dalton, for example, are heading to Thailand for a year of ministry starting this summer. Our family has been a part of advising, encouraging and helping them on this journey. I meet with them weekly to teach them some Thai and to hear their progress toward their goals. They purchased their plane tickets last week! Pray for them if you think of it!

Jacob often sits with me at lunch in the dining hall. He asks me questions about field realities, doctrine, spiritual disciplines and evangelism. He recently made a commitment to continue training with NTM and is trusting God see a

church planted among an unreached people group. So exciting!

Sharon tries to bring the kids to Jackson for lunch in the dining hall on Thursdays. She has used this time to get to know the students and to encourage them in their missions journey. Sharon’s perspective is especially helpful for many of the girls and married ladies! Thank-you for praying for Sharon's ongoing health issues related to her pregnancies. Though none of them are life threatening, Sharon continues to struggle with hernias and other complications related to diastasis recti, commonly called abdominal separation. Though therapy can help, this will likely be a lifelong medical condition she will deal with the rest of her life. Of course, Rye and Ava were worth it! Thank-you for your partnership! We are involved in many other ministries and activities that we don’t have time or space to discuss here. For a more detailed look at our ministry please check out blogs.ntm.org/ric-bruce -Ric and Sharon, Rye and Ava Bruce

Ava Baby Ava is the light of our world. Her smiles and squeaks and scootings constantly keep us entertained. At her last appointment we learned that Ava is very normal: 15.5 lbs- almost exactly 50th percentile for weight. 26.5 inches- 60th percentile for length! She’s going to be a crawler soon!

Rye Rye is a lot of fun at this stage. He often asks us question after question about whatever he's experiencing rapid fire: "What are they doing? What is that? Where is my water? What are you doing? What sound does a duck make?” Of course, he CAN be dramatic, too, as an active little 2-year-old!
