EDITORIAL

The Foreign Languages Departamet is delighted to present its new project: a magazine where selected work from our students will be shared with our dearest community. As it has just come up, we do not have a name yet. So, help us find a name in a voting coming soon.

In this magazine readers will find pieces of written production belonging to students at primary and secondary school, as well as articles on events taking place at school and relevant information that may affect our community. There will also be a games section and cartoons to have a laugh. In this issue you will find wild creatures created by 7th form students at primary school and articles describing our neighbourhood written by 4th year students at secondary school. You will also enjoy an odd-one-out game and a Word search to practise places in the city together with a wonderful cartoon. We do hope you enjoy reading this magazine as much as we have enjoyed doing it! The editors

THE FUNKY STREETS OF SAN CRISTOBAL Positive and Negative Aspects of a Historical Neighbourhood As you see in the title, my neighborhood is called San Cristobal. Since this neighborhood isn't safe at all, you have to take care when you're walking here, there are a lot of thieves outside. Don't use your phone while walking in the streets, they can spot you because of this. Also, the environment is contaminated and dirty, you can sometimes smell the thrash odor. The colours of this neighborhood aren't sparkling or something, just... raw and dark colours, common for me. Grey, black, white. You can see some colors because of the commercial papers or some of the billboards. Going to the good aspects of the neighborhood, we have buses. A lot of them, you can see bus stops everywhere. It's wonderful, because with them you can take any bus and go anywhere. We have some subway stations, too. You can see bus-stops everywhere. It's wonderful, because you can take any bus and go anywhere. In front of my house, there’s a park where some people go and run or play in the sand box. Another thing I like is that I can see so much of the neighborhood from my house's top roof, I have taken a photo, here, look!

A COMPLETELY NORMAL BUILDING?

My home is a seven-story building located in Sarandí street. The building was constructed in 1 924 and represents the typical aechitecture of that period. It was made in 1 924 by an unknown architect. The building has one appartament per floor and every appartament has 6 rooms. At present, the building is home for about 6 families of at least 3 people each one. There is not a guardian or janitor and the people who live there are responsable for the cleaning of the building. The building was never remodeled. A long time ago the door of the building got locked and not even five people could unlock it, but it happened out of the blue that a little and distracted boy took ahead the door unlocking it behind him. In a few years the building will be 1 00 years old.
