FROM OUR FOUNDER
The EVERYDAY MUSE Walking through the museums of Florence and Rome last summer, I was struck by the concept of the muse. In the artistic world, a muse is a source of inspiration, an embodiment of beauty and art. But the muses of the past seemed to spend much of their time standing still— holding careful poses as the artist rushed to capture their forms. As the CEO of a growing company and a mom of three, this serene concept feels foreign, to say the least. The women who inspire me today are far more likely to be found on the move—bending to scoop up a child who needs them, starting an honest conversation, or catching a flight to a brave new destination. These are the everyday muses, the women who inspire not by their perfect figures but by their imperfectly courageous actions. The women who aren’t fearless, but who refuse to let fear sideline them. The women who decide to trade their comfort zones for lives of impact and meaning. I firmly believe that this everyday muse is in all of us, ready to emerge. The hold-up? She is often waiting for someone else’s permission to move. What I have learned is that permission begins when we give it to ourselves first. That’s why I wrote my new book, Imperfect Courage, and it’s why I built a business anchored on empowering women. This new collection is—as always—a testament to the tenacious women all over the world who have said yes to coming along with me on this big, brave, messy journey. That includes our visionary designers, our talented makers, and, of course, you. The woman who knows that her accessories can do so much more than sparkle—they can change the world. Our Ecuadorian accessories are crafted using responsibly harvested local seeds like pambil, acai, and tagua. The Artisans cut, polish, and dye the seeds to make unique, sustainable jewelry.
To create these unique beads, Ethiopian Artisans melt down artillery shells left over from former conflicts. Then, women emerging from vulnerable situations string the beads into elegant accessories.
GUATEMALA
HAITI
To make our glass bead accessories, Guatemalan Artisans create their own bead looms using nails and planks of wood. The women enjoy gathering together to string the beads by hand.
In Haiti, finding reliable materials can be difficult. Our Partners utilize local resources like metallic oil drums to create our styles— transforming unneeded items into vibrant accessories.

Our leatherworking Partners have a passion for sustainability. Their innovative tanning process uses local plants, not chemicals, to ensure that their bags are both beautiful and sustainably made.
Master craftsmen harness Kenya’s celebrated metalworking tradition to create polished jewelry. Each piece is molded and hammered by hand to ensure excellent quality and style.
In Nepal, special fabrics called dhaka have long been used to make traditional men’s hats. Today, our Artisan Partners use these unique textiles to create authentic and stylish bags.

In Peru, Artisans combine high quality metals with gorgeous semi precious stones. Our Partners have supported the same local, family-run gem polishing business for over 15 years.
Our Partners in Uganda are experts at transforming sheets of paper into works of art. They cut, dye, and roll each bead by hand to create an assortment of vibrant colors and styles.
In rural Vietnam, water buffalo and farmers have long had a symbiotic relationship. To honor these important animals, Artisans carve their horns into accessories that capture the beauty of tradition.
