Dizzie Hus, ‘20 B.A. in Global Studies During her time at Multnomah, Dizzie Hus learned how to incorporate her love of nature and her academic calling by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Sustainability. Notably, Dizzie used her passions to establish the MU community garden! The garden has provided an abundance of fresh veggies and a beautiful and healing space for the MU family to grow together. As Dizzie put it, the Global Studies program is a perfect fit for “ministry-minded people who see the value in and have a deep appreciation for creation.”

Cultural Integration We Believe each person – with our unique ages, experiences, ethnicities – is created in the Imago Dei, the Image of God. Healthy relationships are important to Christ’s redemptive plan for the world and MU strives to be a community reflective of the diversity in the Kingdom of God.

The Multicultural Center The Multicultural Center exists to foster opportunities for underrepresented persons to feel a sense of belonging in our community and explore their authentic selves where safety, diversity, and God are honored.

Mosaic Month Mosaic Month is dedicated to sparking critical thinking and dialogue around issues of diversity, inclusion, cultural identity, and social justice on our campus.

Global Ministries Conference Multnomah sets aside one week each spring semester to focus purely on Christian outreach locally and globally. During this week-long conference, students’ interface with Christian non-profit organizations and mission agencies both here in the North West and worldwide.

Voices Scholars The Voices Scholarship aims to develop and support students of color and their allies as inclusive leaders on the Multnomah University campus. We 10

We Believe. These two words bind us together. At Multnomah University, We Believe in you, made in God’s image, ready to do extraordinary things. By faith, We Believe. These words have the power to unite nations and congregations...the power to renew your mind. We Believe college should be fun, campus should be cozy and coffee should be caffeinated. We Believe professors should know your name and walk with you. It’s about “we” not “me.” We Believe in God, maker of heaven and earth, who teaches that how we live matters, and what we say makes a difference. We Believe this is the moment to step up. Multnomah University. We Believe.
