OREGON COAST: Drive west 87 miles and you’ll reach the stunning Oregon Coastline. Find the perfect place to picnic at the beach, dig out your boots and go clamming, or climb to the top of a dune.

More than 500 food carts. Whether you prefer tacos or gyros, burgers or dumplings, it can be found at one of the many food cart locations.

Close to 200 hiking trails within an hour of the city. Plan a day trip or a weekend backpacking trip. Either way, you’ll see the beauty of the PNW.

THE DIVIDING LINE: Cutting between Oregon and Washington, less than 20 miles from campus, you’ll enter the scenic Columbia River Gorge, boasting the best hikes and scenic vistas in the Pacific Northwest.

12 bridges within the city limits, many of which have pedestrian crossing for a nice walk or bike ride with an inspiring view.

More than 210 parks within the city. There is no shortage of places to walk, hammock, or catch the sunset over the city.

THE MOUNTAIN: Only 57 miles from campus, Mt. Hood stands tall at 11, 000 feet. It’s where the adventurers go year-round for skiing, kayaking on Trillium Lake, or driving along the scenic Hood River Fruit Loop.

COMMUTER LIFE Our spacious Commuter Center – The Den – is home to various social, educational, and spiritual programs. We regularly host faculty members as they come to share their hearts at our Brunch Chats. We also gather for times of worship, prayer, and fellowship by sharing food at commuter potlucks.

SPIRITUAL LIFE AND WELLNESS SPIRITUAL LIFE With over 45 on-campus and off-campus chapel opportunities, we provide accessible ways to engage in spiritual formation to become more like Christ. Deepen your relationship with God, your neighbor, the local church, and the MU Community.

WELLNESS We care about all of you. Your emotional, mental, physical, academic, and spiritual development are all important to us. Our Counseling and Wellness Center provides Christ-centered, culturally responsive, psychologically sound therapy to students. Each student can access these services at little to no cost.

THE MULTICULTURAL CENTER The Multicultural Center exists to foster opportunities for underrepresented persons to feel a sense of belonging in our community and to explore their authentic selves where safety, diversity, and God are honored.

GLOBAL MINISTRIES CONFERENCE We invite currents students, alumni, and friends of the university to meet representatives from mission organizations and hear about God’s work around the globe during various workshops.

VOICES SCHOLARS The Voices Scholarship is intended to develop and support students of color and their allies as inclusive leaders on the Multnomah University campus. Voices scholars receive coaching, mentoring, staff support, gain leadership experience, and inform the direction of campus-wide efforts toward cultural competence.
