WE HOPE YOU’RE HUNGRY What’s the best way to enjoy Portland’s vibrant food scene on a seminary student’s budget? The city has over 500 food carts, with eats from some of the best chefs in the city and every region you can imagine. There’s always something good to eat here.

GO BY BIKE, GO BY TRAIN Exploring Portland is easy, even without a car. Jump on a bus right outside campus, take the MAX light rail downtown, or do as the Portlanders do and hop on your bike and enjoy the 385 miles of bike lanes the city has to offer.

FUEL UP FOR LATE-NIGHT STUDY SESSIONS We’re not exaggerating when we say there’s a coffee shop around every corner in Portland. With more than 40 independent coffee roasters, boasting hometown heroes like Stumptown and Coava, there’s no better place to get your caffeine fix.

HOW ABOUT A DAY TRIP? Grab your friends, load up the car, and drive less than two hours to the beach. Enjoy breathtaking hikes in the Columbia River Gorge or stay in town and enjoy the scenic views and trails in parks like Mt. Tabor, Powell Butte, and Forest Park.

LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS Once a semester, our students can participate in our school-wide Days of Outreach, where we do everything from picking up trash in our neighborhood, yard work at local elementary school playgrounds, interior painting in churches, serving coffee and hot dogs at transit stations, to assisting elderly neighbors with house projects. In the fall semester, classes are canceled for a half-day to allow all students time to participate, and in the spring semester MU partners with the citywide MLK Day of Service in January.

THE DEN Our cozy commuter center is a great place for our students to gather together for times of worship, prayer, and fellowship, and other events.

JCA This central building is the hub for our students. It houses the JCA lounge where you can hang out with friends or shoot a game of pool, Roger’s Café for all your coffee needs, the Study Hall and Student Success Center, and the cafeteria.

MITCHELL LIBRARY It’s Seminary—you have to study, so why not pull up a chair in the library? Students can search the 95,000-volume MU collection, 500,000+ additional volumes through partner libraries, and digital content available via numerous research databases.

Our campus is minutes from downtown Portland and surrounded with breathtaking nature reserves and parks. Experience the best of both worlds at Multnomah Biblical Seminary. Living on campus is a great way to connect with the MBS community and save on commuting time. We have two options available for seminary students.

AMBASSADOR APARTMENTS The Ambassador is comprised of shared apartments available to all students. Both single- and double-bedroom occupancies are available. Units are divided by gender and general stage of life. The Student Life department houses an Ambassador interest list that students can use to find roommates.

MEMORIAL HALL Upperclassmen, non-traditional, and graduate-level students live in Memorial Hall. Men and women are separated by wing. Standard rooms are single occupancy. Some suite options are available to students who would like a roommate and a small price break. Upper Memorial is occupied by traditional undergrads. Lower Memorial is occupied by graduate, seminary, degree completion, and older traditional undergrads.
