Greetings to the Northwestern Community, As we reflected upon 2012, the Multicultural Student Affairs staff wanted to express our sincere gratitude to the many community members that supported our programs, initiatives, and most importantly – our students. Northwestern has a wealth of opportunities and as we move forward in 2013, we anticipate increasing our partnerships across campus to ensure that all students have access to the full range of resources, information, and experiences associated with attending such a great institution. We had a wonderful 2012 and 2013 is off to a great start! Finally, please extend a special welcome to our newest staff member, Daphne Nwankpa, who joins us from the School of Education and Social Policy. We invite you to stop by 1914 Sheridan Road to welcome her! Looking forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, The Multicultural Student Affairs Staff

Dear Wildcats, As Vice President for Athletics and Recreation, I’m pleased to say that with almost 500 student-athletes and over 19 varsity programs, we represent a remarkably diverse cross-section of the campus population. The diversity of the Northwestern community is one of its most appealing characteristics, welcoming students, faculty, and staff from across the world to a beautiful higher education setting, providing our student-athletes learning opportunities that so many of their peers at other institutions are not afforded. Whether during competition on the field or court, or a Gator Bowl Championship celebration, the Department of Athletics and Recreation is proud to play an important role within our community. All the best, Jim Phillips
