Not only ordinary spectators like us enjoy watching famous old movies while immersing ourselves in them. Which woman hasn’t dreamt of having her breakfast at Tiffany’s? And who hasn’t looked for Rose’s heart necklace while swimming in the ocean after watching Titanic? Movies inspire and influence not only the common viewer, but also numerous fashion designers and their unique collections. All of fashion’s biggest players, such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Salvatore Ferragamo, have included a movie scene on their mood board at least once – now, in the context of the home isolation and lockdown, even more so than before. With fashion shows increasingly taking place online, many fashion houses have not only started including movie scenes in their showcases, but also basing their entire collections on specific films, no matter how old, experimental, or eccentric the films are.

Movies that inspired entire collections

| FASHION

LOUIS VUITTON: “WINGS OF DESIRE” (1987) Surprisingly, even after 30 years from its release, “Wings of Desire” remains the most recognizable work of the German filmmaker Wim Wenders. References to the film can be found in Luc Besson’s “Angel-A”, or in Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life”, amongst many others. Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière took inspiration precisely from this movie when creating his Summer 2021 collection, even showcasing the film’s scenes during the live fashion show while models were strutting down the runway. In a nod to the “Wings of Desire”, some of Ghesquière’s silhouettes were reminiscent of the 1980s’ fashion: the collection includes long raincoats, oversized jackets, and wide-leg trousers.

CHANEL: “THE SWIMMING POOL” (1969), “BREATHLESS” (1960), “PIERROT LE FOU” (1965), and “ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS” (1957) For its Spring/Summer 2021 collection Chanel presented quite a flashy and fascinating show. Inspired by nothing else but Hollywood, creative director Virginie Viard made it a prerequisite to bring Hollywood to France – from a Hollywood-like Chanel sign towering over the catwalk to cinematographic collection pieces, varying from ruffles on collars from Anna Karina’s “Pierrot le Fou” and snow white clothes from Romy Schneider’s “The Swimming Pool” to the jacket with edge piping resembling Jeanne Moreau’s “The Elevator to the Gallows”.

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO: “ VERTIGO” (1958) and “ THE BIRDS” (1963) During self-isolation many resorted to watching movie after movie, often choosing the classics over modern cinema. Similarly, Salvatore Ferragamo creative director Paul Andrew decided to explore his fascination with the films of Hollywood’s legend filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, basing his SS21 collection on the looks from “The Birds” and “Vertigo”. Instead of using classic 1960s silhouettes, however, Andrew decided to pervade his collection with strict femininity instilled with leather dresses, fitted raincoats with a protective collar, and luxurious yet practical suits with a knee-length skirt.

Penthesilea

| PEOPLE

Penthesilea, a top model from the Netherlands and a finalist of Miss Europe, the owner of the cosmetics company Be Glamorous, talks about the realities of modeling life during a pandemic, how to start a business and how to combine these two different but at the same time overlapping areas. Penthesilea, you’re quite a successful model who often participates in photoshoots for different magazines. Have you always wanted to be a model? Aaawww thank you for the compliment. Well as a little girl I would go through my mother’s fashion magazines and I would admire models like Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell and I always wanted to be like them, so yes, I always dreamed of being a model. You seem to be a very confident young woman. Was it easy for you to start your modeling career? Haha, now I’m confident, but I wasn’t always like this. Till the age of 25/26 I was insecure and trying to find my identity. Before I was very insecure, so modeling wasn’t always easy if you’re insecure. But somehow I managed. If not modeling, which career would you choose and why? I studied law, so I think I would be a judge or a cosmetic doctor. My passion lies in beauty and everything surrounding it. Tell us how the idea of creating your own cosmetics brand was born? How did it all start? It started 6/7 years ago, I was an avid hair extensions user, but could never find good quality hair. So after years of being frustrated I created my own hair extensions brand with top quality hair. When I was 14 I dreamed of one day having my own makeup brand, so I started with hair extensions and have extended the brand with a whole make up & lash collection. Now more and more brands of cosmetics appear on the market, and it pleases! What are the special features of the Be Glamourous brand? What principles do you follow in creating cosmetics? Be Glamourous is a high quality brand, but it’s not crazy expensive. I want every girl or woman to have the feeling of buying a luxurious brand at a normal cost.

| PEOPLE

All our products are cruelty free, suitable for vegans and the pigmentation and quality is amazing! The package is extremely luxurious, it’s made with quality materials like Swarovski crystals. What products would you recommend to start getting to know your brand? It really depends on what your goal is or what products you really like. Your Be Extra Highlighter Palette was a success. Why did you choose highlighter to be your #1 cosmetic product? It’s still our number one product which is sold out every time. When I created the palette, highlighter was the #1 product in makeup, so I wanted to create a palette that is suitable for all skin-tones and for all women. Hair extensions, lashes, highlighter… Where did you get your inspiration to create all these products? I myself am a real girly girl, I love shoes, bags, clothing, jewelry, perfume and of course MAKE UP! But I also love luxurious products and high quality. So I create products that all women will love who have the same love for luxury as me. What’s your favorite product out of your line? Why? Really difficult, because I love all the products, but my absolute favorite is the “fierce” lip gloss.

Is there anything that you haven’t created yet but want to? What is it? Yes, as we speak I am creating a makeup` setting mist and eyeshadow palette. So give us a follow on Instagram to keep you posted. Are you going to expand your beauty empire? My dream is to one day have one of the biggest beauty brands on the market, so I will put all the effort & energy to reach that goal. You obviously love luxurious outfits and accessories. Have you ever thought of launching your clothing line, for example? As a matter of fact I actually did consider launching my own clothing line, but as for now I too busy with my makeup line. However I don’t rule that option out, so who knows, maybe in the future I will. How would you describe your typical day? Not one day in my life is ever the same, so it really depends. One day I am cleaning my house, the other day I do my groceries etc, some days work, some days I spend with loved ones. My life has plenty of varieties!

24  mover-magazine.com

We know that you love traveling. What are your favorite destinations and why? Traveling is my hobby! I really love Dubai and the South of France. I love luxurious destinations, with good restaurants, well dressed, classy people, nice shops etc. I also love the Maldives, it’s such a beautiful place where you can totally charge yourself. When I go to the Maldives all I do is eat, sleep, going to the spa, eat, sleep and that’s it haha.

You were a guest of the GRAMMY awards. Tell us a little bit about this experience. Being at The Grammy’s was a once in a lifetime experience. The show was amazing, I was on the red carpet with all the celebrities, it was a special evening. One I will never forget. How do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years I have made Be Glamourous an empire. I see myself married with my now boyfriend, hopefully a baby and living in our dream house. As a professional model, what advice would you give to beginners? Never give up, even if you keep being rejected, don’t stop until you reach your goals and don’t get insecure. You are beautiful! 26  mover-magazine.com

LILIA LIMANENKO Lilia Limanenko – esoteric, who helps people find themselves, solve their internal problems and to find their way in life. She uses different methods in her work, and she exactly knows which method will help to a particular person. More than that Lilia is constantly evolving and has discovered other interesting directions for herself

H

ow did you come to esotericism? I’ve always been drawn to magic. My grandmother, who raised me from an early age, had certain abilities that were passed down to me. Even at school, I could easily remove headaches and other things. I worked with cards, did the layouts, and had prophetic dreams. After my grandmother died, my abilities began to increase, since she passed on her gift to me. I was afraid that I could not cope with my emotions and would inadvertently hurt someone. So, I closed the subject for myself. By my second college degree, I am a psychologist. But I wanted something different. And when I began to break down more and more from the inside, magic came to the rescue, it all started with candles and herbs, and further, other tools began to appear. And I began to live I got energy, strength, the joy of life, and, most importantly, meaning.

lilit_moon.1  Лилия Лиманенко

What qualities should an esotericist have? In my opinion, an esoteric must have the following qualities. First, the desire to help people. Secondly, courage and the desire to go forward, discovering new facets. He must be generous in what he shares, knowledge, skills, in helping. He must have the mental focus to assess adequately the situations he encounters. And of course, sensitivity and sensitivity to the world around him. Can you tell me more about the practices that you do? I do wax casts. It is a way of cleansing from generic and destructive programs, various destructive attitudes, and various kinds of magical influences such as love magic (witchcraft, colds), various kinds of dark magic. Very often during wax cleansing, I receive messages from the stream for the person in verse form. These are symbolic poems, and they speak of the programs that the person has now. I also work with Tarot cards, the 78-door deck. They help to answer any questions, to see if a person has a magical influence.

mover-magazine.com  31

| PEOPLE

What is the most important thing for you in working with people? First of all, with the setting with the person, which comes through communication and positive contact. Secondly, without an evaluative perception of the person, there are no bad or good people, the network of problems with which the person has approached you. The ability to abstract from a person’s problems and not let them pass through is a very difficult and important quality, to allow a person to take responsibility for themselves, to acknowledge their problems and simply guide them along the path and help them come to another self. What inspires you in your work? I am inspired by the way a person changes after removing all kinds of destructive programs or magical influences. How a person gets strength, a desire to live, to go forward when abundance, love, and happiness come into his life. You understand, a man even changes his appearance, a woman becomes more beautiful, more peaceful. A man gets his strength back, he becomes more energetic, more powerful. And when a man calls you and gushes about how his life has changed, it’s such a joy and happiness. I know that you participated in the Sapphire World beauty pageant. Can you tell me about the event and what were your experiences? This was my first time participating in such a contest. It was a very different experience. Given that the contest was held in St. Petersburg, I live in Moscow, so unlike the other participants, my training photo posing, defile was online. I watched the video and sent the TOR for these positions in St. Petersburg. Accordingly, at meetings with other professional psychologists, stylists, and others, I was not present. Participants, accordingly, I too have not seen and did not communicate with them. I only came for the finals, two days of rehearsals, and the contest. That’s why there was a feeling of some dissonance because Peter and Moscow are slightly different in terms of energy. Although within our age group there was a very relaxed relationship between the contestants, there was no acute rivalry.

Would you like to continue modeling? Yes, of course. I just started. And I want to understand its principles and try myself. You know, almost all girls dream of becoming either models or actresses. Although I dreamt of becoming an actress, since I did not follow that path in life, it is interesting to try myself in modeling. Especially now it’s a trend - models 35+. What other directions would you like to develop besides esotericism? Esotericism is not a direction, but a way of seeing the world. And this image is very multifaceted. There are so many directions in esotericism that I would like to try. For example, numerology, I have always loved and I love numbers, mathematics is the queen among sciences, and numbers can tell a lot about a person and tell him how and where it is better to move and what to do. Chiromancy, a very interesting field, the lines on the hands say a lot and it is very interesting to see what a person comes up with and how their lines change for their life. I have a very big topic that hasn’t been fully developed yet, which is psychotherapeutic poetry. This is a very important topic because it could help people, particularly those who for some reason don’t want to or can’t go to psychologists or psychotherapists. By reading or, better yet, listening to these poems a person can get out of various difficult situations such as depression, loss, disappointment, unhappy love, etc.

An esoteric must be generous in what he shares, knowledge, skills, in helping

What advice would you give to those who want to start doing esotericism? Don’t be afraid to try. If you want to, by all means, try. We are all magical, magic lives within us. So, try it out, listen to yourself. What you are attracted to, to wax, to herbs, to astrology or numerology. Your internal memory will tell you, but for this purpose, it is necessary to disconnect your head and not let your mind take over your intuition. What would you like to achieve in the next 5 years? I want to create my psycho-esoteric center and gather the maximum of magical directions within it. Publish my book of poems, ballads, and make also an audio version and a channel on which I will read the poems. Find my readership and hold creative evenings. Also, I want to find my brand in clothes, cosmetics, whose face I will be. I want to enter the world level, probably my statement will cause a smile, but you have to dream big for the Space to see your request and of course not to stop after a failure, so I will go further to my dream.

FATHER, SON and HOUSE OF GUCCI: WHY PATRICIA REGGIANI KILLED HER HUSBAND MAURIZIO GUCCI? The movie "House of Gucci" tells the story of the founding family of the Gucci house. Including the darkest part, in which Patricia Reggiani, wife of one of the company's owners, Maurizio Gucci, ordered his murder. Her role was played by Lady Gaga. Patricia met Maurizio Gucci, one of the heirs of the fashion empire, in November 1970. Maurizio's father, Rodolfo Gucci, son of the founder of the fashion house Gucci, hated the girl from the moment he found out about her. He considered Patricia a rude party girl, unworthy of his only son, and was convinced that with his help she wanted to get "out of the mud and into the nobility". Rodolfo Gucci softened and accepted his son's chosen one only after the birth of his granddaughter, who was named Alessandra after Maurizio's mother. At the same time Patricia arranges a meeting between Maurizio and his uncle Aldo Gucci. Feeling what opportunities, the famous family can open to her, she convinces her husband to move to New York to help her uncle develop the family business in the USA.

36  mover-magazine.com

Patricia Reggiani changed from a fragile and compliant girl to a real business shark: in the times when the couple lived in New York, she was the one who made many decisions about the fashion house. That all changed in 1983 when Rodolfo Gucci died, leaving a controlling stake in the company to his son. Maurizio Gucci's rise to the chairmanship coincided with the beginning of the collapse of his marriage to Patricia Reggiani. In May 1985, Maurizio packed his suitcase and told his wife he was going to Florence for a few days. A few days later, a family friend informed Patricia that he would not be returning. Patricia plunged into a deep depression, but tried to keep her composure, hoping that Maurizio would come to his senses and return to her. Despite Patricia's best efforts, there was no reunion, and Maurizio filed for divorce. The trial lasted almost 10 years, and during that time the younger Gucci began a new romance – with his childhood friend Paola Franchi. After getting a divorce, he proposed to Paola - and the couple began to prepare for the wedding. It was a real blow to Reggiani.

| CULTURE

"Patricia bribed the staff at our house to spy on Maurizio, leaving endless messages on her answering machine accusing and threatening," Paola Franchi was quoted by The Guardian. She didn't relent even though the court ordered her to pay $1 million a year in alimony after the divorce. Reggiani's frustration reached a climax when Maurizio sold his shares in the Gucci house to investment bank Investcorp. Patricia considered the sale a betrayal and repeatedly told the press, "I still feel like Gucci - to be honest, I am more Gucci than anyone else," she told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. It is said that she came up with the idea of killing Maurizio during a session with a psychotherapist who, among other things, was an occultist. Reggiani's best friend, Giuseppina "Pina" Auriemma, helped her carry it out. On the morning of March 27, 1995, Maurizio Gucci was murdered by Benedetto Ceraulo, a car mechanic hired by Patricia for $375,000. The day after his death, Paola Franchi was ordered to vacate the apartment in which she lived with Maurizio. Prior to her arrest, Patricia Reggiani

and her daughters lived in her late husband's apartment. When the police arrived, she asked to be allowed to take her furs and jewelry with her to prison, but she was refused. During the investigation, Patricia's personal diary appeared in the case, the last entry in which was made on March 27, 1995, the day Maurizio was killed: "Paradeisos".

JOSE ESPAILLAT Jose Espaillat is a freelance photographer currently living in New York City. Jose’s specialization is portraiture, editorial, and commercial photography. He has versatile abilities: take a clean portrait, and combine beauty with fantasy to bring an editorial to life. In addition to his photography, he is a retoucher as well. Jose was part of the retouching team at Ralph Lauren for three years. His work has been featured in various print publications.

A

s a child born in the Dominican Republic, Espaillat always had a passion for photography. He would spend much of his time capturing photos of his peers and surroundings. Yet, it was his move in 2012 to New York City, that inspired him to stop studying medicine and pursue his love. The city atmosphere of endless possibilities mixed with his artistic soul led him to enroll at the School of Visual Arts for a BFA in Photography, where he graduated in 2018. Why did you decide to move to New York? Does this city inspire you? I decided to move to NYC to continue studying medicine because that’s what I was learning in the Dominican Republic. But soon after, I realized I can pursue my real love for photography and have a professional career. I decided to transfer to SVA and earn the BFA degree at the Photo & Video department.

How big a role did photography play in your life before you went to New York? When did you start taking photographs? I think it played a huge role, as I was always the kid with a camera on every school trip. At the time, I couldn’t even imagine that it would be something I would do professionally, but it was definitely part of my life at an early age.

4

| CULTURE

5 Do you miss the Dominican Republic? Do you think you will ever go back? I go back once or twice a year as most of my family still lives there. I love DR, but NYC is home, and I don’t think moving back is part of my plan. You worked at Ralph Lauren for 3 years, did you like it? I loved my time at RL. I learned so much in those 3 years. The team was incredible and easy to work with. Do you have a favorite image? If so, which one? It is so hard to pick one... I have so many favorite ones! I do love my “Hephaestion” image, which was inspired by Greek sculptures, and Alexander the Great’s closest friend, sometimes referred to as his lover. What inspires you? I’m inspired by everyday life: I find myself getting ideas and the spark of creativity when I put my phone down, turn off the TV, and experience my surroundings. Sometimes, it’s just seeing people on the street or looking at the tree or even just letting myself drift into my mind then ideas come to me. Writing also helps me! I can be in the present, write my thoughts down, and clear my head - it always opens some new possibilities and reflections.

6 Do you spend a lot of time editing your images? It depends on the project. I’m usually a very fast retoucher. However, I love editing, and I sometimes spend days playing with one image. What 3 words describe your photography style? Ethereal, Serene, Instinctive. How did you build your freelance career, and what advice would you give to someone who would like to become a photographer? I think it is all about connecting with other creatives and always giving 110% on every project is key to growing as a freelancer. That helped me throughout my path. My advice would be to create your vision, stay true to yourself, and get out there. Prepare your shoots and don’t limit yourself. If you don’t have an established team, then build a team and the right connections with time. mover-magazine.com  39

A GENERATION CRAVING FOR BEAUTY: ART DESTROYED BY THE REVOLUTION When “Gone with the Wind” was released in all the countries of the world, it was a story in which the orders and values of former times became a matter of the past. Russian art has its own socalled “gone with the wind” people. They lived at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, believed in aesthetics, freedom of art, and worshiped beauty.

50  mover-magazine.com

Anastasia Postrigay, art critic and founder of the OP-POP-ART School of Popular Art, tells Mover about the “World of Art” association, which united the brightest stars of the turn of the century. The “World of Art” is an outstanding creative association. Among the members were people of different talents, so the art that they created was truly amazing. This was an unusual mixture of classic, slightly old-fashioned beauty and aesthetics including boldness, innovation, the rebellion of the coming 20th century. They didn’t like both academicism and the acutely social art of the Itinerants. Members of “World of Art” stated: ”We’re definitely not preachers of lies, but we‘re not slaves of truth either... First of all, we’re a generation craving for beauty.“ Their history began with the “Pickwick Club” of St. Petersburg. In 1887, in the private school of Karl May, a “Nevsky Pikvikians” association was founded. Among the members were several famous art figures: Alexander Benois, Walter Nouvel, Dmitry Filosofov, and Konstantin Somov. Sergey Diaghilev and Leon Bakst joined “Nevsky Pikvikians” later. Of course, now all these people are well-known artists but then they were only seventeen or eighteen years old. At first, the association was a hobby club. Members just had fun and studied art together. However, Diaghilev’s vigorous energy gradually turned the regular club into a reputable “World of Art” association. The group was joined by Korovin, Serov, the Vasnetsov brothers, Vrubel, Nesterov, and many others. Of course, “World of Art” quickly became popular. The amount of creative energy and ideas generated per square meter of the club was just insane. Besides,

Diaghilev, who was the most talented producer of the 20th century, was a member of the club. As a result, by 1899 the “World of Art” had become a large association, which organized exhibitions of works not only of Russian artists but also of Monet, Whistler, and Degas. The paintings were selected according to the tastes and preferences of the club’s members. They primarily focused on the personality and inner world of the artists: “A work of art is important only if it’s an expression of the artist’s personality.” The 20th century, full of revolutionary ideas, wasn’t the best environment for people who wanted to live in an atmosphere of beauty and aesthetics. Here’s the story. In March 1905, Diaghilev opened an exhibition of Russian portraits: he presented a huge collection in the Tauride Palace. He traveled around the country, persuading the aristocrats to give him the portraits of their ancestors which were only collecting dust in the empty corridors of their houses. Diaghilev wanted portraits to be demonstrated to people. During the first revolutionary wave in the summer of 1905, which caused major destructions, it was Diaghilev’s exhibition that saved these portraits. Many other masterpieces of art and heirlooms were destroyed during clashes. The “World of Art” members were escaping from such a reality by looking more and more into the past. Of course, they didn’t completely deny the avant-garde that was emerging in front of them, however, they found comfort in something more refined and exquisite. Romanticism, symbolism, Pre-Raphaelites, and Art Nouveau – these

were representations of beauty, aesthetics, and freedom of creativity. The world was crumbling and breaking into pieces, however, just like the Titanic orchestra, the “World of Art” members continued to play their own “music”. The “World of Art” did not last long, it was just a couple of decades. However, this association managed to give a lot to world art. It was the artists of the “World of Art” that took an active interest in theater, ballet, and printing. It was they who brought book illustrations to a new level, turning them almost into masterpieces. It was they who created such amazing sets and costumes that after the Russian Seasons tour, French fashion houses could barely cope with many orders for clothing tailoring. They create several trends that still exist: from incredible clothes on the catwalks to the brightest shows and concerts. Everything ended in the 1920s. First, Diaghilev became too busy with Russian Seasons. Then Benois and the others left the association. Soon after the 1917 revolution, the “World of Art” finally stopped existing. The epilogue of this story was written by the “World of Art” members themselves: “We loved the world and the beauty of things too much. Then there was no need to deliberately distort reality... we were naive and pure, and maybe this was the dignity of our art.” There was no place for them in the new Soviet world. However their ideas, discoveries, survived works – all this became a powerful impetus for the next generations of creators. mover-magazine.com  51

She started taking pictures for photographers as a profession. Her favorite sides of modeling is to be a print model and a lingerie model. She also took part in runway for the Fashion show.

54  mover-magazine.com

What magazines have you worked with? I worked with Lady Scorpio. That was a really nice and interesting experience for me. Name 3 directions for which you would like to be a model. It is cool to be a different directions model as: print model, fashion model, Commercial Model. When you can take different “positions” as a model that makes you multifunctional and gives you more chances to get a modeling invitation. Which magazine cover would you like to be on? I definitely would like to be on Vogue’s cover. I can actually call it as one of my dream, because, when I was a kid, I used to look at models, especially in Vogue magazine and dream about I was one of them. How did your modeling career begin? I started modeling in 2014. I went to modeling school to learn more about that business in general and to get important experience for future work. What are your plans for the next 5 years? I plan to become a famous model, to work with famous fashion houses and to get a lot of events invitations. It is really important for me to make my career as perfect as it possible. When did you realize you wanted to be a model? At the age of 15 I realized that modeling it is actually what I want to do and with what I want to connect my life. What does your family think about modeling? My family respect and support my choice. It is really important for me to get their support and to know that they love what I’m doing. How many photos do you have from childhood? As I can remember, I have 3 photos from childhood. Now, when I’m an adult already I feel a little bit sad about that fact that it is not a lot, and it would be really nice to have more childhood photos. How much have you changed since childhood? I changed a lot. I became really feminine and self-confident. What type of photography would you like to do more? I love fashion and glamour types of photoshoots. Especially when it is with beautiful and fashionable looks from luxury brands. Which of the world-famous models could you set as an example for yourself? Definitely it is a Naomi Campbell. She is an idol example of model

and she can even represent a modeling business. She is absolutely stanning. What is the most memorable experience you’ve had in modeling? I think there are 2 important experiences for me. One of them is runway for one of the Fashion show and modeling and acting school. Those experiences gave me a lot of memories. What is the main quality that model should have? In my opinion model should be absolutely confident. She has to be self-confident and confident in everything what she does, say and with who she works. What makes you happy? I love spending time with my family and going to different types of trips. That gives me power for new experience and thoughts about my future. What advice would you give for beginner freelance models? To never give up and always follow their dreams. It is really important to be sure about what you want and what you are doing, even where there are some difficulties on your way to the bright future.

ONCH ONCH is an LA based jewelry designer whose way to success was truly breathtaking: he evolved from a reality show participant to one of the most outstanding designers whose items wear celebrities like Kate Moss, Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian, and many others. | PEOPLE

ONCH, at the moment you’re a very successful jewelry designer whose pieces are worn by lots of A-list celebrities. Have you always dreamt of making a designer career? Actually, I’ve always wanted to be a vet or a zookeeper. Growing up I had a lot of pets so owning a zoo was one of my childhood dreams! The fashion industry can be really tough and everyone knows it. Which struggles and obstacles did you face at the beginning of your career? I was afraid that my art won’t be taken seriously since it’s very kitschy and campy. Glad I never allowed my fear to change the style of my work because years later my pieces were featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the “CAMP: Notes on fashion” exhibition. You first appeared on TV as a famous reality show contestant. Looking back now, how would you describe this experience? Is there anything that you’d like to change back then? That was such an unforgettable magical experience. I got to befriend the wonderful Paris Hilton while showing the world my personality. If I got to change one thing that would be not holding back from fear of judgment. Your jewelry looks really yummy and that’s a fact! Why did you choose to design food-themed pieces? What stands behind your super famous pretzel logo? Food is nourishment to our body just like how I feel fashion is to our soul so of course I’m highly inspired by food. It is also a universal language and the ultimate bonding experience for anyone with a language barrier.

It will probably be hard, but if you had to choose one of your iconic pieces of jewelry, what would it be and why? Wow, that is a tough one. If I got to only choose one I would say my signature trademark double twist pretzels. Not only is it my company logo but it’s also a design that’s brought me an abundance of joy, success, and love. To me, it is a symbol of gratitude and love, a heart with DNA (double twist representing the double helix). Hasbro, Hello Kitty, Dreamworks Animation... You’ve already collaborated with many cool brands, is there any brand that you would like to collaborate with? I’m so beyond grateful for all my collaborations. There are many brands and artists I’d love to team up with such as Keith Haring Foundation, Takashi Murakami, Scott Tolleson, Luke Chueh, 3D Retro, Tokidoki (Simone Legno), JapanLA, Friends With You, Mattel, Andy Warhol Foundation, MoMa museum, Polly Pocket, Coca-Cola, Evian the list goes on. Million-dollar tennis necklace and bracelet worn by G-Easy for Harper’s Bazaar recently look absolutely gorgeous yet they differ greatly from all your previous pieces. What inspired you to create such pieces? That’s a great question. I believe a constant reminder that we are a million bucks will help us feel like a million bucks. It’s the power of manifestation. Sometimes all it takes is just a little reminder to set the tone for the day. What advice would you give to young and promising designers who are trying to find their place in the fashion industry? Be bold, stay true to yourself, and never stop believing in your craft. Persistence is key to a successful design career. You’re doing amazing, keep up the good work!

Anna Belan &

Dima Bilan

Anna Belan is a Russian singer, the younger sister of the popular singer Dima Bilan. After studying to be a director, she nevertheless decided to connect her life with music. Let’s find – how did she come to this, how filmmaking skills help in creating music, and how the nickname Otana was born

Anna, as far as we know, you studied as a film director in the U.S.A and only recently decided to conquer the stage. Why did you choose to opt for music? I love filmmaking as much as before. And I am glad that I studied to be a director. But to shoot projects, you need a team. Also, everything related to cinema takes much more time. What about music? It is created more at the moment. Love it! I many times caught myself thinking: that even when I was directing, still drawn to music. When did you start making music? Did you equal your brother’s success? Subconsciously, I think yes. My brother’s success influenced my attitude towards the industry. In the beginning, didn’t think that I would equalize. But the more I do music, the more I catch myself thinking – I look at Dima’s example. I stop myself at such moments and explain that there cannot be the same path. And definitely, everything is already going differently for me. In 2020, you debuted with the single Utopia and now actively working on a solo album. How do you manage it in a protracted pandemic? The pandemic has made its changes in my plans. It was difficult on the one hand. On the other hand, there was a lot of time to find material and understand in what direction I want to move on! Why did you decide to create a duet with Dima? Initially, you talked about a cardinal difference in musical tastes. Everything happened by itself. We just talked about how it would be nice to record something together, maybe. Yes, the music is

different, but Dima also agreed to have some experiments. The collaboration will not be like his style, nor will it be like mine. In the states, you broke off your engagement with your chosen one and are now sure that this is for the best. You already have an army of admirers. What is your ideal type? I do not have a specific type to say for sure. I can be very unpredictable in my choice, even for myself. But still, there are several points. The main things - same wavelength with me + charisma. I appreciate the sense of humor, intelligence, and ease of communication. Of course, I also like confident men. I need to feel his strength of character and authority. How did the nickname Otana come about? Before starting to release tracks, I thought that I would need an alias. Although I love my name and surname, I wanted to put some meaning in my stage name. It’s simple – I began to think about what I like in general. At that time, I was very attracted to shamanism: one of the oldest forms of religion, which focuses on belief in the supernatural. I love everything mysterious. I started looking at all sorts of different names on the Internet related to this. And I came across the word Otana. So, at once, understood this is it! It is hard to stand out from the background of professional artists nowadays. But you have your style. Tell us what trends do you like in modern fashion and how did you create your image? I like some unusual things, experiments in everything. And also, whenever I got into interesting companies, I took an example from people who, in my opinion, were stylish.

Also, of course, I continue to follow all new trends and choose something of my own from this. How do you feel about social networks? Do you think that an artist should regularly update Instagram, try himself on TikTok and other popular platforms? This is a new reality in which every creative person should live. What does an artist need to listen to his music? Well, always remind yourself and be in trend. Therefore, of course, he must understand all the new things and constantly appear somewhere. Every artist on social media has their own platform. And of course, you should always find and provide appropriate content to your audience on those platforms. How do you plan to use your directing skills in your musical career? These skills help me to quickly understand the whole filming process and participate effectively in it. How would you describe Otana’s solo project and its mission? The mission is to give life inspiration and energy for endless creative search. Plus, allow yourself and the world around you to improve. Some things are important to me, and I would like to draw attention to them. I make music about this.

Olga Zanozina os_kot Olga Zanoza

My difficult journey began back in 1992. It all started with a pain in my leg, when my parents took me to the hospital, the doctors just waved their hands and said that these pains were only related to the fact that I was growing up. Nevertheless, the pains did not stop, and only after 2 months in the regional center of Kursk, I was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma of the right thigh, I was 12 years old at that time. Oncologic hospital, chemotherapy, hair loss, wild pain that did not end, and finally the affected part was removed, i.e. the knee and put endoprosthesis. I was on it for 4 years and in 1997 it cracked. I decided to have an Illyzarov device put on, despite my parents’ doubts, to extend my leg to a healthy leg, as my leg was severely shortened. I was with the apparatus for 1.5 years, and I spent those years on my back, not getting out of bed or moving around on a stretcher. During that year and a half, I had a lot of surgeries, tears, and pain. My leg was extended and in 1998 a new implant was put

in. It was as bendable as the first one, so I had to walk with a straight leg from 1993 to 1999. However, I was not happy for long in 1999, the implant was removed and it was reported that I had Staphylococcus aureus. Until 2001 I walked on crutches and was hospitalized. After going through all this, in the winter of 2001 I made the decision and signed a petition for amputation. So my life without a leg began. The first years I hid my prosthesis behind thick pants and wore tight shoes so nobody would notice my defect. I went to Moscow, studied, and worked, as in our city at that time it was difficult for a person with disabilities to realize their potential. I started working in Moscow in a construction company, grew up to head of the personnel department, graduated from the institute, I always worked and studied at the same level as everyone else. Later I got married and had a child.

| PEOPLE

Life without borders In 2017 I met Volkova Marina Leonidovna, thanks to whom my life has abruptly changed. It was in this year that I jumped with a parachute for the first time. Despite my wild fear of heights, I still jump, besides I flew in a deltoid. It was probably after I started being active that I realized that I didn’t want to hide my prosthesis anymore. Later in the same year, another meeting with Stepan Golovin, who is the 1st deputy general director of the Ortho Prosthetics Company, was very important to me. Director-General of the prosthetic company OrthoCosmos. He suggested an electric prosthesis, which brought comfort and peace of mind to my life. In 2018, I started doing demonstrations for girls with amputations and received a diving certificate. Also, in 2019 my debut took place, in Moscow, the show “World of Steel Beauty”, where the models were girls with amputations. In 2020 I decided to get divorced. Despite all my worries, I applied for participation in the beauty contest “Mrs. Moscow”. A week after I had applied, I was contacted by the President of the foundation Alla Yurievna Markina, who approved my participation without any hesitation, despite my disability. I was the only girl with a prosthesis among all the girls who took part in the contest. Later I took part in a show by Slava Zaitsev. The contest was successful, and I received the crown of Mrs. of the audience. In October that same year, I participated in the Fashion Verdict program and was the heroine there. In February 2021 Krupennikov invited me to the program “The Life Factor” to talk about my life, my path, and my victories. The same year I was invited to a photoshoot as Frida Kahlo, and in March 2021 I appeared on the covers of the French magazine Moevir. In April 2021 I discovered a new hobby for myself and started to train on a climbing wall, which I still do. In June of the same year, I was invited to the Festival Planet Style and Scarlet Sails in St. Petersburg to participate in the fashion show. After the show, Tamila Musaevna Kerimova came up to me and offered to go to Paris to the Pierre Cardin Festival of Fashion, so I received the title of Top Model in Paris.

After Paris from 10 to 15 October 2021 in Turkey, Alanya has held a festival about development and beauty. As part of the festival was held an international beauty contest “Face of the Planet 2021”. Rest assured; I was assessed on a par with all the other contestants. Although this contest was not the easiest for me, I received the crown and the title of the first Vice-Miss Face of the Planet 2021. This is not the end of my accomplishments and it certainly won’t be for a long time!

Liliya CHERNYKH THE CREATOR OF PERSONA GRATA BRAND

You are a designer of modern and fashionable medical clothing. How did you come to this? I graduated from medical school, worked as an ultrasound doctor, and finally decided on my profession by becoming a successful cosmetologist. I’ve been in medicine for 13 years. I have been wearing a medical gown for 13 years, most of my time, day in and day out, the Medical Gown has become my second skin. The story of the idea for the @personagrata_official brand started with one gown for my favorite job. Tired of looking for something decent on the workwear market, I bought fabric and gave it to my seamstress to sew. I love fabric stores more than clothing stores, I can spend a lot of time there, touch them, look at them, analyze what kind of product can be obtained from them. And when I got a lot of messages in Direct message format: “Lilia, you can go to a restaurant in such a dress.” “Lilia, this dress is gorgeous, is it really for work?” That’s when I decided that making medical apparel luxurious, stylish, and elegant is my mission.

What inspires you when you create things? Beauty which I’m inspired by any aesthetic: whether it’s in nature, on the catwalk, in the interior. I know what good taste is. What are the main distinguishing features of your brand? 1. Uniqueness. Everyone is used to seeing medical staff in shapeless gowns and suits. We break stereotypes and change the idea of medical clothing as a boring, monotonous, faceless uniform! 2. Quality. When we create professional medical clothing, we use only high-quality blended fabrics. Blended fabric is ideal for medical clothing: it is breathable, lightweight, soft, pleasant to the touch, but at the same time, dense and almost impermeable. They are the most comfortable, comfortable, and low maintenance. 3. Comfort. Based on the above, the fabric for medical clothing - an important component of comfort in the workplace. And in our products, this comfort is provided. Who is your main support in this difficult case? The main support in my business is my sister, who is also a doctor, an oncologist. She is my companion, advisor, first assistant, responsible for administrative issues, and I am the inspiration.

Are you planning to add something new to existing products? Absolutely! We won’t stop there. The plan is to create not only products made solely from white materials but also colored fabrics. There will be a lot of stylish overalls, pants, blouses in bright colors. We also plan to create comfortable and comfortable underwear to wear under medical clothes. What advice would you give to those who are planning their own business? First, never give up and don’t listen to anyone. Go only forward for your dream and goal. Second, improve yourself! Learn new trends, train your mindset. Thirdly, be able to do everything fast, but with high quality. In the 21st century life flies with lightning speed, something new constantly appears, the market is oversaturated with offers, so who was late, is late. How do you see your brand development and growth in the next 5 years? During this time we will completely change the world of medical fashion, the image of the doctor in general. The doctor will look elite and dignified. I think you will see even more variety from @personagrata_official in the future.

personagrata_official

What are your hobbies when you’re not designing? I don’t have any free time. I love my life and I do my dream job for a living. I’m a cosmetic doctor. In my free time away from medicine, as a creative person, I dance Vogue style, go to fitness, sing and read.

Alena Voyakovskaya

WOMAN OF LEGEND HEALING WITH LIGHT CAME TO SAVE HUMANITY DOCTORS GAVE ME SIX MONTHS TO LIVE, BUT I SURVIVED TO SAVE PEOPLE. OVER 5 MILLION VIEWS OF MY STORY ON INSTAGRAM alenavoyakovskaya

M

y name is Alena Voyakovskaya, I am 38 years old, and I heal people's souls. You probably thought right now that I was referring to all kinds of herbs and medicine, but it's different. I heal people with the energy of Light. When I work with people, I heal their Soul through their acceptance of Self. I began this path 2 years ago, or rather I began to work with people, they started coming to me for help. I often hear, "I accidentally saw your video on Instagram or TikTok, or I accidentally saw your article in a magazine" Nothing is accidental. And even now you're reading this article for a reason, believe me, I never just come to people. My personal path to Self and to the healing of my Soul began 7 years ago. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor (meningioma) when I was 30 years old. It is possible to live with it and it is easy to remove, but not in the case that I had, the location was too deep, it had been growing in me for about 7-8 years and had already grown into the cerebellum and practically killed me. When I went to the neurosurgeon with my scan, he told me that there was a choice: a complex surgery, which gives no guarantees and most likely will lead either to death, or to the state "vegetable" at best or six months of life without surgery. The prospect of a choice without a choice brought me to a state of deadlock, hopelessness. Searching for doctors, clinics, my husband and I got the answer everywhere it was too late. I already felt then that skull fracture was not an option, but I didn't find any examples on the Internet, that I could do without it and survive.

+7 (913) 206 06 90 My daughter was 5 years old at the time, looking at her, I knew that I had no right to sign my own agreement for the surgery, to become a burden on my family, or to pass away. Despite my fear, I made the decision to live as long as I was meant to live. I was willing to do this in order to extend my time with my daughter, my husband, my parents, just for one more day, to tell them how much I loved them every day. My daughter became my main motivator. Then I realized that even if I leave my life, then so be it, but first I need to find inner purity, I began to realize more and more how much pain in me, insults to loved ones and the worst thing about myself, anger at myself, irritation, I began to realize that all 30 years I was as if in oblivion, I was not living, I was building an illusion and was successful for everyone around, but in this illusion was not me ... I so wanted to live the rest of my life with myself and my family, to stop being indebted to everyone, to live in Freedom, but at that moment I honestly did not know how to come to that. From that moment my new journey began. So, the first thing I did was to turn to God. I did not ask for healing, I asked for strength on the way to the purity of my Soul. From that moment on, I began to notice many signs. Inwardly, I already felt then that one day I would be someone who would inspire millions of people. I endured headaches, fainting spells, and it was scary to fall asleep and not wake up. When I woke up, I thanked myself that I had one more day. I did not allow myself to feel sorry for myself, did not talk about the pain to my loved ones, so that they would not show pity for me, I understood that if I gave in to pity, it would kill me. mover-magazine.com  81

| PEOPLE I began to appreciate myself, began to feel my strength and realized that I was ready to share my story with the world, on social media, in magazines. It was a big step for me to share my story with so many people. The first post with my story on Instagram was on March 30, 2019, all posts under the hashtag in #voyakovskaya_history-healing, I remember my state, my hands were shaking, my heart was ready to jump out of anticipation that something very powerful was beginning in my life. People began to respond to my story. In the summer of 2019, I had a constant stream of thoughts "Speak, speak, speak," and I began to speak first in live broadcasts, strangers wrote to me that after my broadcasts it was as if they were inspired, there was a powerful flow. I came to the realization that I am a conductor of Light, that energy is given to people through me, and that God works through me. I totally accepted myself. Almost immediately I began to conduct my first Marathon of Gratitude. This marathon is about ACCEPTING HIMSELF, about being grateful to HIMSELF, it is the first step on the way to yourself. All who pass it begin to understand that they thank everyone and everything, the Universe, God, because they teach it everywhere, but not themselves, no one talks about it anywhere. The point of the marathon is to begin to live on high vibration, through gratitude to yourself, to know how not to succumb to destructive emotions and feelings. To whom do I recommend my Gratitude Marathon? Absolutely everyone and even children. I'll tell you a secret, my 12-year-old daughter is now in family education completely free of the system because of this. I get people out of the system, those who are really ready for it.

«YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN IT WITH WORDS, YOU CAN ONLY FEEL IT»

On my way I met a man who believed in me. The first time I met him he said to me, "Let's give it a try, you have until Monday to live anyway. He never gave me any guarantees, I didn't know what awaited me, but I trusted him, I felt from the first seconds of our acquaintance that God led me to him. This man - Alexey Kupanosov - is my mentor and has been to this day, we have been working with him for 7 years. I am truly grateful for his support, for his faith in me, for his friendship, I could not have done it alone. So, time went on, I was getting better. Six months passed after the diagnosis was announced and I was still alive, another year, a year and a half, realizing that more strength was emerging, my family and I moved to another city. I had to continue to work on myself on my own, although online we were in touch with Alexei, but much less often. During all this time I never once visited a single doctor for my issue. From time to time, I had a computer tomogram of my brain, there were thoughts that maybe it was growing and was about to kill me, especially after I, succumbing to weakness, went to the Internet to read about my tumor. But when I went in for another CT scan 3 years later, the doctor started asking me with a very surprised face what I was doing for treatment, it turned out that the tumor had shrunk in size a bit and the most amazing thing to her was that it had hardened and stopped growing. "Now you can live to be 100 years old with it," the doctor happily informed me. This gave me even more strength to go on.

For those who can no longer tolerate their mental pain, the emptiness that is in their soul from not accepting themselves, I conduct personal counseling sessions, I call them "Quantum Leap". These consultations are for those who are ready to go through this experience, who clearly understand that they need help and who have come to this consciously. Often people say to me, "You're like the missing puzzle I've been looking for all my life." Each person, after undergoing counseling, is freed from their pain that is keeping them from living easily and freely, in the moment there is a realization of their worth and a state of ease comes. Such a magical feeling when I see that the person and his soul have awakened. Almost every person asks me the question, "How do you do it?" My answer is, "You can't explain it with words, you can only feel it. Also, a year ago I opened a course called "On the Way to the Light. It consists of three stages. The course is interesting because each stage is a certain level of energy, a space in which magic happens, a release from clues, from beliefs, from fears. I humbly say that the third step is taken by those who are ready to lead people to the Light, conductors to the Light come to me, and my task is to help them to accept this in oneself, because on the third step the encounter with oneself takes place, to which one sometimes goes his entire life and not always comes.

«IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT OTHERS DO, IT MATTERS WHAT I DO»

Working with people for more than 2 years, I began to realize that in addition to energy help, they also need physical help. Because of the fact that the body is hungry, because of toxicity, often just a person is not able to hear me. He doesn't have the resource, the energy. People now have energy taken away from them by "empty food", by fears for themselves and their families in the current world situation. I was looking for a product that could help people increase their energy and stop being afraid to get sick and in March of 2021 cellular nutrition came into my life from Germany, it LIVES people. My mentor Alexei Kupanosov told me about it. He called me and told me that the time had come for us to go from Russia to Germany, to Europe, to America to help people. I immediately felt this product. A product for the salvation of mankind, because this food for cells fills the hunger of the cells of our body, increases the energy in the cells up to 100%. Already 5 minutes after intake the vitamins and minerals contained in the extracts of vegetables, fruits, berries and herbs are absorbed by 98%. Developed by 350 German scientists, in accordance with international standard GMP. With this product I bravely go into the world to save humanity. This is a fantastic product, which many people call "the product of light". Production: @mode.production Ph: @vladislaw_ Muah: @mariagi_mua

INNA GROSHEVA My name is Inna Grosheva, I am the owner and manager of Coffee Nefer. Also, I wrote the book “Accident – I can do anything”. I'm a girl in a wheelchair. I can guess what you were thinking, “What a bad luck!” But don't rush to feel sorry for someone who is deprived of the ability to get on her feet and run. I'm still in a wheelchair, but things can change. My life is just beginning, I am young, but I have already achieved a lot and I know that the best is ahead. I have no doubt in my mind that I will be healthy again. It has been a long, difficult and painful enough journey from injury, despair and emptiness to the fact that I sometimes forget about my wheelchair – my life is so busy and full of experiences and promising possibilities. One day someone asked me: how did I manage to overcome this road, overcome my unwillingness to move and the fear of remaining a helpless “vegetable” forever? How did I do it, where did I find my strength? To be honest, I was not immediately able to answer these questions. I didn't look for anything, I didn't ask anyone, I just made decisions about what to do and did it. Now is the time when I can share my energy with you! I'm ready to go with you on a new path to your success and share all my experiences! What about the history of the concept of a coffee shop and how it all began? From a young age I was fascinated by the atmosphere of the cafe: the interiors, food design, uniform and consistent style of staff uniforms. Growing up, I started to visit different coffee houses and continued to watch with great interest and immersion in all the processes. Moreover, I constantly wanted to fix something, add something or, on the contrary, remove. Then I decided that it's time to create something of my own, namely my own coffeehouse. A coffee shop empire! I immediately realized that it would be something special, with its own unique atmosphere and style.

When I was thinking about the concept of the coffee house, I was inspired by the history of Ancient Egypt. This country has a unique entourage, and a lot of interesting and fascinating legends and myths are connected with it. Especially I was attracted by the reign of the beautiful and powerful Queen Nefertiti. Her beauty combined with her sharp mind makes a strong impression. In addition, I wanted to give my coffee shop a graceful, but at the same time majestic name. And so, the name of my coffee shop was born – Coffee Nefer.

You can purchase a franchise. For information and purchase:

Advantages of the Coffee Nefer concept are that it’s memorable brand with the atmosphere of the great empire of Ancient Egypt. It includes author's technologies of popular drinks preparation, flexible and adaptable cafe formats, popular menu and a wide variety of desserts. As well as uniform, high standards of service, a popular format of democratic cafes, a unique loyalty program for special people. High profits, low costs, successful business, effective business model, resistant to the crisis, as coffee is the second most popular commodity in the world after oil. Everyday people in the world drink more than 2.25 billion cups of coffee. It is very important to believe in yourself and in your strength under any circumstances in life. You can always put your hands down and let go of your faith.

Kaye

LAINE

Versatile personalities who have achieved success in various endeavors do not meet so often. Kaye Laine is one of them. Inspired by her parent’s talents, Kaye started designing and sewing at a young age. Model, actress, designer, artist: Ms. Laine is always exploring new ways to share her abilities in the world of fashion. What to expect from her next? Let’s talk to Kaye Laine and find out how she became who is and what future projects we can look forward to.

Kaye, you are a designer, model, and actor SAG-AFTRA, CSUSB Alumni. How and when exactly did you realize you had the passion for designing, modeling, and acting? When I was 5 years old (the early 1980s), I played the part of one of the sugar plum fairies in a winter program. That followed by other performances. By the time I was in the second grade, I was offered the lead role without auditioning. Also, I performed in a high school acapella group. Later after being married with one child, I continued performing in a female acapella group. Around the same time, I played in local commercials and performed in musicals as a background singer and dancer. In the past few years, I have had the opportunity of being a background dancer on a few shows. I have also been part of a dance company in which I performed ethnic and lyrical ballet. While I raised my 3 kids, I attended California State University San Bernardino and graduated with two degrees. One degree is Psychology, and the other one – Art. I am more of a right-brain creative: my concentrate within my art degree was welding sculptures. I also studied many forms of art when attending college: animation, graphic design, painting, illustration, etc... Even before attending a university, I had a few gallery shows of my paintings. I also learned how to program light shows on a computer to a chip and put them into fashion with a program called Arduino. Also, during college and after (in my 30’s), I did modeling. I modeled for many lookbooks, fashion shows and have walked runway shows in LA fashion Week. I was nominated a Latin model of the year with Vive Latino America without being Latin.

Previous to that, I was a Tropic Beauty swimsuit model and modeled swimsuits for several events and programs. As I modeled for different designers, I used the platform to learn – how to create my fashion line. Modeling is not the only area that I had in the fashion industry. Both of my parents took the time to teach me how to sew and design. My father stood over me while sewing my prom dress and designing many other articles of clothing. Combined with fashion design, an art degree, and parental guidance, I took a chance and tried my hand at putting a clothing label together called Kaye Laine Exclusive. I had an opportunity to feature my clothing with the Los Angeles Music Awards. Made custom clothes for a few celebrities, have them featured at a couple of red carpet events. This did not go far when my divorce happened, I tried keeping it moving, but circumstances did not allow it. I may start it up again, after a handful of knowledge that I have learned from these experiences. In the middle of it all, being asked to be part of the Kevin Sorbo film, One More Round, I was able to get my foot back into performing, which I took a break for several years, and stepping back into it, I felt that I was where I belonged. I have had many opportunities at many studios (Sony, Fox, Warner Bro. etc..) worked many hours as a background artist to become a member of the actor union SAG-AFTRA. I received my big break to be part of the union when I was asked to be a stand-in for Tig Notaro, on a comedy show. I have future film projects 1 coming up, which had to be revamped due to Covid-19. On the other hand, Covid-19 has put a lot of things back into perspective, like being a parent, and self-tape auditions, along with zoom acting classes, plus more. What have been the greatest challenges you’ve faced in your career so far? As per your opinion, what are the main challenges in the creative industry today? There have been several challenges that I have faced in both the fashion and entertainment industries. With fashion, I have had to keep up with colors and trends. What is hot and what is not. Each year the colors change for each season, and the next year is not the same as the year before. For the entertainment industry, the auditions are challenging. Not every audition gets a callback. I have to put it in my head that I might not be a great match when they are looking for specifics. A

mom with a spouse and child, or my personality might not be what the casting director sees for the part. It could even be the sound of my voice. There are a lot of factors that go into it, and part of it is the life experience that can help me portray a role. Right now, I am taking stand-up comedy classes. The challenge that I am facing is – standing by myself on a stage and hoping that people will laugh. You also starred in the movies “One More Round (2015)” and “Dead in Minutes Web Series (2017)”. How did it feel to be in the movies? I have been and worked on all of the studios in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. I have worked at Paramount Studios, Sony, Fox, Warner Brothers, NBC, Disney, etc., as a stand-in, background. Also, I have been featured on the show New Girl, season seven, episode one. The film One More Round, a Kevin Sorbo film, I was honored to be asked to be a part of. I played the Judge’s wife, Mrs. Trosper, which is a movie that helps people have faith again. Dead in minutes is a youtube series that an acting coach used to build reels for students. I learned more from class than being part of a web series. The class taught the meisner technique, which teaches the actor “to get out of their head.” I have taken method acting, table reading, stand-up comedy classes, and have had great coaches along the way. Being a member of SAG-AFTRA there are a lot of classes, and programs that they offer to help the entertainment industry be fine-tuned. What do you enjoy most about being an actress? Who are some of your biggest influences in the entertainment industry? I like entertaining an audience and being in the moment. When I get to put myself in the character’s place and perform as someone else, it is truly rewarding. I enjoy being on a set and learning about all the entities. Hair and makeup, costume and set design, along with the production crew. One of my biggest influences is Oprah Whinfrey. Through everything that she has been through, she never gave up and is a true inspiration. Oprah has worked in news, talk show host, is an actor, runs a company, and has done more in the industry than most, along with giving back. Another inspiration is Zooey Deschanel: she is versatile. Zooey is a clothing designer, actor, director, producer, singer – she has done it all.

Being a designer, what is your favorite style in fashion? I love evening gowns. I love designing and wearing glamorous dresses. Even if the evening gown is simple. My favorite evening attire that I designed was a high-waisted skirt with a simple train in the back. I have also designed a few types of heels and flats (shoes) that can dress up a pair of jeans, or wear with anything. What areas of your work or personal development are you hoping to explore further? Every day is a learning experience in the industry. Fashion and entertainment go hand in hand. My personal development lies more in the entertainment industry, and I continue to take classes to improve my skills. I don’t just use this platform to entertain others, but it is a way to work through and overcome my challenges. Give us 5 fun facts people might not know about you yet. 1. I am the second oldest of six kids: 4 girls and 2 boys 2. I grew up on a farm in Albany, Oregon, in a single-wide mobile home, where the kids slept in the closets 3. My favorite music, which I love to dance to – country 4. I studied radio in Los Angeles 5. I have raced a stock car at the Lucas oil speedway. What are some of your other upcoming projects? I do have a few projects coming up at the end of the year, but I cannot disclose information yet. We will be filming in Georgia. What advice & tips would you give to young aspiring models and actresses? The advice that I have for models is to always look out for yourself. Always bring an escort to be with you. No matter what the project is, have a contract and read it thoroughly. Sometimes you have to trade to grow a portfolio. If being an actor is your dream, you may not be what the casting director is looking for, so do not let this hurt your feelings. Let it go in one ear and out the other, and never give up. The most important thing to remember is to surround yourself with like-minded people and positive surroundings.

WHAT DOES THE WORLD REMEMBER VIRGIL ABLOH FOR WHO TURNED THE WORLD OF FASHION AND STREET STYLE UPSIDE DOWN?

irgil

94  mover-magazine.com

On November 28, designer and social activist Virgil Abloh passed away. Born into a family of Ghanaian immigrants, he turned the world of fashion upside down. He brought street style to the catwalks, he said that fashion is not created by designers, but by ordinary people. The cult of sneakers, hoodies and sports pants even in offices and on red carpets – all this brought the world the most scandalous designer of the new generation. During his studies Virgil met not really famous rapper Kanye West. Later, together with Kanye West, he did an internship at Fendi. Later on, they collaborated on many occasions. For a long time, Abloh was the stylist for Kanye's performances and tours. His fame came with the Off-White brand created in 2012, which is directly linked to street fashion. He decided to make "things he would have worn himself at seventeen," and his main audience really became solvent young people. Three years later Abloh was nominated for the LVMH Prize and was the only American to be nominated. The images, silhouettes, styles and logos of his products repeatedly provoked a wave of criticism. Louis Vuitton has tried to work with streetwear brands before and Abloh's work has been followed from the beginning. In March 2018, Abloh took charge of Louis Vuitton's men's line. His first show was a triumph. Seventeen dark-skinned models in unexpectedly bright and bold garments strutted down the runway among flowers at the Palais Royale, and at the end, a tear stained Abloh embraced Kanye West and thanked him for twenty years of friendship and support. Hailey Bieber, model and idol of many young girls, walked to the wedding in a gorgeous dress embroidered with pearls – in the best tradition of wedding fashion. Only on the infinitely long veil in recognizable script was embroidered the phrase - "until death do us part", and in fanciful patterns hiding Off-White logos. This is how Abloh proved to the world that he is also capable of a glamorous, sophisticated, fabulously expensive, but still fashionable rebellion.

was here In spite of the criticism and reproaches Virgil Abloh gave new life to street fashion.

ROCKSTAR

Pursuing your dream is twice as hard if you’re told that you won’t make it. Exboy Rockstar is a young yet very promising musician who worked hard in order to become successful no matter what other people say. In this interview, the artist told Mover about his way to success, new music videos, and his resemblance with Johnny Depp. Anton, you have recently started a singing career, but have already achieved success and became quite popular. Have you always wanted to become a singer? I have really liked singing since childhood. As a child, I wanted to study at a music school, but after the audition, the teacher rudely told me that I had no voice. This was a bad experience, but I didn’t lose hope of becoming a singer. When I was 16, I recorded my first song – it was a kind of protest showing my dissatisfaction with the lifestyle of my classmates. I was happy that the song resonated with the school students: everyone knew that I had recorded my first song. Your stage name is Exboy Rockstar, it sounds very unusual. How did you come up with it? Previously I had another stage name which was TonyDex. It sounds a little bit like “Johnny Depp”. I find it funny because now I look like this famous actor. Later on, I thought about my past relationships and realized that I managed to stay on good terms with all of my ex-girlfriends. Exboy is short for “ex-boyfriend”. Besides, it can be short for “exclusive”, because I‘m a truly unique artist. You have released several tracks and your fans really liked them. What inspires you to write the lyrics and music? I can honestly say that music is my life. My source of inspiration is the world. Being a singer is emotionally difficult because you have to live out every song you perform. The most important things for me right now are my music and career. I’m glad that I have an audience that is supporting me and waiting for my new releases. Early in the year, you released a music video for the “Где твоя улыбка?” (Eng: “Where is Your Smile”) song. Tell us about the filming process, who did you work with? I work with the Promo Party label, and together we create new songs. As for the music video, the filming crew consisted of real professionals. I received a lot of positive emotions from the process of creating a music video because this was my first professional music video and I couldn’t be more excited. The woman who played my grandmother was a real actress, she starred in many films! I‘m so

96  mover-magazine.com

grateful to the entire film crew because the music video turned out to be very bright and dynamic. Recently you finished filming a new music video. We saw behind the scenes on your Instagram account – this work seems to be very seductive. What’s the idea of this music video? This music video will be released soon – perhaps even earlier than this interview will be published. I was inspired by the idea of creative chaos: I mean some random abstract images and pictures. I would even call this video a short film inspired by Tim Burton’s works. My music video doesn’t have a creepy atmosphere but it will show you a true rage! You’re pretty bold when it comes to different experiments with your style. Have you already thought about your new look? I like experimenting with my style, so I change my appearance quite often. At the moment I like the way I look, but a little later I’m going to add some interesting details that will accentuate my style. I’m not going to change my current look until I become popular in the world. Western fans like the way I dress! In Russia, people often ask me for a photograph or think that I‘m a foreigner. Sometimes I joke about this and even speak my own made-up English! Do you have any favorite artists with whom you’d like to work on the joint track? I happened to get an audition for a world-famous rock music label. The reps told me that some of my songs sounded really cool, so they offered me to work with the Foo Fighters producer. It wasn’t a surprise for me as our songs have the same energy and deliver the same message. As for the foreign musicians with whom I’d like to collaborate, I would single out such bands as Sum41, 30 Seconds To Mars, Coldplay. When it comes to Russian music, I like Scriptonite, Oxxxymiron, and Bi-2. What advice can you give to aspiring artists? The way to success is often long and difficult, so never give up no matter what! Even if something went wrong, don’t try to blame anyone – focus on moving on instead.

Being a girl with a huge desire for development, how do you evaluate success? When I achieve my goals, it makes me happy. It is what success means to me. What’s the story of your multilingualism? Where did you learn languages? I started learning English at school and continued at the university. The German language was added to my collection of languages at the university too. So, I graduated from Moscow State University of Forestry as a linguist and technical translator in forestry with German and English. I went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to improve my German speaking skills, which helped me a lot. Simultaneously, I met a boyfriend who was French and spoke French too. It is the fact, which motivated me to learn this language. Being a happy person, and working as a translator in a journalistic company, I started to travel to the happiest country in the world – Spain. I was absolutely charmed by Spanish songs and wanted to understand them... So, I started to learn French, German, and French simultaneously at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Every year I travelled to these countries to be able to practice them. In addition to my main job – in the journalistic company Ynpress, I started to tutor. I devoted more than 20 years of my life to that. And about 5 years ago, I read a book in German about Sisi, who knew Hungarian and Greek languages, and saw Eurovision, where Sakis Rouvas, a famous Greek singer sang a song. I did some research about Sisi’s life, visited all the palaces where she lived, heard all the songs of Sakis, and started to learn Greek. Then I went to Greece, got an international diploma and now teach this language too. Currently, I am learning Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, and Italian. What did you learn about the tie between language and culture in your own learning experience? Learning the language helps you to discover the culture. It is the way it works. You can’t learn about the culture except from the people. So, the connection between the language and the culture is evident. For example, learning English and talking to Americans, British, Australians, and Canadians helped me quite a lot to understand their way of living, their way of thinking, as well as their habits and traditions. How has being multilingual influenced your career path? Well, I worked as a translator/interpreter in the Russian company Ynpress. As a multilingual journalist in the international journalistic company Youthpress with headquarters in Brussels. I did technical translations in dentistry. My modeling career started with a photoshoot in my 20s in Germany. Now I am working at www. profi.ru (http://www.profi.ru/), where I am a tutor of 5 languages. You mentioned that you want to develop your skills in rhythmic gymnastics and ballet. What do you think about the role of dance concerning multilingualism? Would you say there is a complementary relationship between the two? A person can express himself/herself in dance, such as ballet, as well as in gymnastics. The same person can express his feelings through

words said in his own or a foreign language. A person can show his abilities both in dance, gymnastics, and languages. What activities do you take part in outside of ballet that help you with your dancing? I do yoga to find the balance in my life and my movements. It helps with ballet. Also, yoga helps me to regulate my breathing, which directly influences my vocal abilities, when I record songs. Have you drawn professional inspiration from other women? Tell us about someone who has inspired you. Good question. I think Sisi, whom I already mentioned. I consider her a strong woman, who achieved a lot in her life. Even though she was royalty, she constantly trained her body, had a strict diet, had regular walks, rode the horse perfectly, participated in political decisions of her husband, fluently spoke and wrote in difficult languages, and was a faithful wife, who knew how to love and to be loved. She is my inspiration and a great example of how to be a strong, educated, and disciplined woman. In your deepest desires, is there something you would like to achieve in the nearest couple of years? Since I sing and participate in many photoshoots, I would like to achieve recognition in these fields and develop these skills on a professional level.

I

n addition to the physical body, we have energy fields. That is that place where the field of events is formed, then the information descends to the dense plane of the physical body and the materialization of a person’s destiny takes place. My main task is to change the vector of events by erasing from the subtle plane negative programs created by a person himself, a person’s wrong attitude to the world, or programs inflicted on him by someone else in order to harm him because of selfish motives. My direction originated not by accident. My teacher says that it is an actual gift. I can see a person’s energy very well, I realized this after I gave birth of my second daughter. I remember that I bought a canvas and paints with my last money, because the energetic image, filled with deep meaning, did not let me go. When I painted it, I saw the image of someone communicating with me. I call this state of being in the flow. I began to decode them with the help of a teacher and the Internet. Also, one day I poured paint on a canvas to paint the next image I saw. When the canvas dried, I saw on the canvas an image of a beautiful girl praying to a burning candle. The main thing in all of this is the person himself, his strength and the task at hand. The element of water works through me, showing images as if on coffee grounds. As the paints flow, I read the person’s past and remove the bad things that I am allowed and the things that interfere with the person’s destiny. I remove all of that and pour the colors in again until the beautiful image given to the person as a totem manifests itself. The universe speaks to us in a language we can understand. People come to the session themselves or send a picture of themselves. There is no distance for the energies. I put the photo under the canvas and work with the person in mind. One of the principles of quantum mechanics is that the force increases with distance. Working with a person who

is not physically present near you gives you the opportunity to experience this phenomenon for yourself. My main goal is to do what I’m interested in! And I am interested in being able to work and influence energies, on things where a lot of things can be changed for the good. I like to create a different reality and I do it through people. Many people finally got married after working with me through the canvas, some have discovered their abil-

ities, and some have had time to leave their addictions and build a different reality. People are happy, and I’m happy for them and for myself. We are all given what we believe in and to those who strive and ask properly. They give us all the opportunity to wake up and change our attitude toward the world, and first and foremost, toward ourselves. It is very important for everyone to see this world under a different vector of reality. mover-magazine.com  101

When did you start your divine Yoga path, Angela? When I was 13, I started my divine Yoga path in Zurich with Selvarajan Yesudian & Elisabeth Haich. Together they brought Yoga to Switzerland. I am so grateful to have met these wonderful, intuitive, and powerful teachers and learned the classical Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation from them. Already as a small child, I was naturally attuned to energy healing, prayers, rituals, and holistic healing tools. Eager and interested to learn how to heal body, mind, heart, and soul. How did the passion for music and art come alive? At the age of 7, I was already singing in a choir and often received solo singing parts at different performances and events. As a teenager then I was fortunate to get professional solo singing classes from an Opera singer in Zurich. I was also trained in Jazz, Funk, Soul and Musical singing and performance. And that’s how I landed on stages with huge choirs and bands. Later in India, I also studied Indian music and mantra chanting, where I used to sing in big Hindu temples. I went to a Swiss-Italian art high school, studying fine arts, sculpture, architecture, photography, and 5 languages. So that’s where my passion for international art and also travel came alive. You started coaching women at the age of 17. How did you come to it? During my high school years, the young women would approach me during the break times and share their intimate stories, sexual experiences, and body shame issues. It felt so natural already then, to hold a safe and sacred space for them and just listen and ask questions. They were so grateful to have me as a trustworthy person with whom they could share their deepest desires, phantasies, and fears.

And of course still wanting to feel loved, seen, and appreciated, I kept on ending up in toxic friendships and relationships. Where did you find resources to reset your life after a long time of feeling weak and lonely? One morning after lying in bed for 2 years and feeling suicidal, I reconnected so deeply and consciously with my breath, body, heart, and soul and remembered my soul’s purpose and the importance of guiding my own children into a soul-aligned life, empowering and teaching them how to live life on their terms. And so I started again taking full responsibility about my physical and mental health and emotions. By moving my body, through self-love rituals and connecting to Mother Nature I was able to uplevel my life force energy. So I started to completely reset my system from any vibration of pain, suffering, fear, doubt, everything that was blocking or stopping me from rising and not being in my true feminine essence. I started investing in myself and accepted help, support, and guidance to heal me by working with the most amazing coaches, mentors, trainers on this planet. I’ve learned more advanced healing tools on top of what I already had in my toolbox for the modern Goddess. Today I am back in my full power, high vibing with my amazing children and running an International Holistic Empowerment Mentoring and Training Business in service to the most amazing clients from all corners of the globe, traveling the world again and experiencing what I love.

What made you explore and travel the world at such a young age? My father worked for Swissair, so I had the opportunity to travel by plane at a very low price. As a born Sagittarius, I love to move with an open heart and mind, exploring new places, cultures, lifestyles, religions, and belief systems. I usually adapted fast into a new culture with a big interest and respect to the lifestyle, clothing, eating, and daily rituals. What kept you in India? After my studies in psychology and teacher training, I got married to a Hindu Monk and I moved to India, exploring more of our spiritual journey. In my early 20ies, I built a private school for teenagers, built toilets and drinking water fountains in the poorest of the poor villages of West Bengal. I created an international child protection team for abused kids, taught hundreds of Yoga classes and gave thousands of holistic healing sessions in person, in charity for a spiritual community (Ashrama). In the Calcutta slums, I helped, supported, and protected prostitutes and Lepra sicks. After a few years when my kids were born, I was running a Yoga Retreat Hotel in India with my second husband, where we hosted international Yoga groups. Why did you decide to return to Switzerland with your children after living such a long period of time in South East Asia? Since my second husband decided to go back to monk life after 10 years of marriage and family life, I decided that I want my children to have their education in Switzerland. So, exactly 13 years ago I arrived at the Zurich airport with 3 children, 3 suitcases and 3 dollars to my name. Why do you think you had depression? It’s hard as hell to raise 3 children on your own without receiving any mental, emotional, financial, or child support. I had to cope with everything myself and it was too much! I felt lonely, demotivated, isolated, and burnt out. mover-magazine.com  103

AFFORDABLE what’s that and how it LUXURY: works in 2021 Drawing of the “Ford” dress by Coco Chanel

Since the days of Marie Antoinette, women have been using a thousand and one tricks of dressing to look their best. However, for centuries bespoke gowns and impeccable tailoring was only reserved for the rich and famous, leaving the less rich and famous women to admire it from afar. Thankfully, as years went by, fashion became more democratized and available to all, with affordable fashion finally on the rise. So why don’t we take a loot at the roots of the evolution of affordability? The history of the “cheaper dress” began in the atelier of no other than Coco Chanel who was known for her attempts to simplify pad-equipped gowns, to dispose of the feather-embellished hats, and promote the then-revolutionary style a-la garcon. Thus, this unscrupulous Chanel point of view led to the world-wide-famous creation known as the little black dress. Cocktail length, waist-deprived silhouette and basic dark shade turned the society’s values topsy-turvy, causing the verge of curiosity, still veiled by a mute rage. Nevertheless, Coco didn’t cut down the price on her masterpiece, and the legendary dress continued wearing a haute couture tag. That was right until American department stores, including Sears, represented a veritable wonderland of nipped-waisted frocks with Dior-inspired voluminous skirts in 1955. There were previous attempts that had been undertaken even before Coco Chanel’s debut, according to several sources such as Elizabeth Clines’ “The Good Closet”.

If you take a loot at NYT photographer Bill Cunningham’s autobiography, it will become clear that fashion in the 1950s was a thing enjoyed by the very few. The majority of Paris Haute Couture collections back then were normally showcased in the main boutique, but the designer himself invited only a limited number of guests, giving a significant preference to his faithful clients and powerful journalists. As the saying goes, forbidden fruit is always the sweetest. Mr Cunningham generously revived the memory of the US buyers from back then with his notes and pencils. But he himself had to peep through the shows’ curtains that were supposed to hide the new season’s garments from stamping. However, the curtains usually never fulfilled their purpose and the garments’ images graced the covers of every Parisian newspaper the day after their showcase.

As clothes have become cheaper, the clothing consumption has gone through the roof, usually ignored by the housekeepers who continued to sew at home, using a myriad of fashionable patterns available in women’s magazines. The rebellious 1960s opened a new chapter owing to collaborating with young and ambitious designers, for example with the british mini-skirt pioneer Mary Quant. Previously naughty Mary shocked stand-offish Londoners, representing with her sleeveless flamboyantly colored dresses, almost exposing the panties. No wonder she hypnotized American department stores, signed a worthwhile contract and gifted young customers with an opportunity to become trendy, save pocket money for Coca-Cola and chewing gum.

And the rest was history. While fashion designers sat on their high horse and enjoyed the reputation that they had established, others witnessed the birth of fast fashion, embodied by the emergence of Zara, Walmart, H&M and their lower-quality clothing sewn on patterns of the runway Parisian looks.

The first ZARA Store in Madrid, Spain

Despite the laborious success, the new aforementioned brands were close to wearing themselves out, deciding therefore to cooperate with high-fashion designers and celebrities. In fact, fast-fashion brands have recently been getting quite a high profile, with leading ladies like Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama being frequently spotted in Zara or H&M dresses. However, even in fast-fashion you can go above and beyond your income by purchasing items that are part of the Love Republic & Roberto Cavalli collaboration, or H&M × Rodarte, to name a few. Unfortunately, with affordable fashion there is always one threat prevailing: if you wish to pay less, be prepared to encounter many, many others wearing the same ruffle skirt or the same logo t-shirt.

Natalia, how did you get into the cosmetics market? Like all little girls I was interested in my mother's cosmetics. At every opportunity I tried to use it and put makeup on all my dolls, pets, neighbors and everything around me. Many years passed, I grew up, I graduated from a higher education institution, and my childhood dream came true. Tell us about your path that led you to the position of marketer for a cosmetics and perfumes chain. After graduating from the university with a degree in “Advertising – Innovative Advertising Technologies” I got a job in the banking sphere in my specialty, I really liked creating commercials, creating PR-companies for the development and promotion of my favorite bank. But still the dream of my childhood "to work in the beautiful and mysterious sphere of cosmetics never left me and after a few years of my work in the bank I was lucky – I was invited for an interview in a company for the job of my dreams. I passed a competitive selection process and several stages of the interview, and then I got to work. My whole life became like a magic dream from my childhood! Has the company's marketing strategy changed due to the events of the last year? What trends have appeared? L'Etual company, despite the difficult conditions of the pandemic, brings beauty to all the homes of our customers. Beauty products have become even more accessible for customers. The largest perfume and cosmetics online store in Russia, carries out high-level online sales, contactless courier delivery. The range of products presented in the stores has also increased.
The company's social networks hold cool online contests, drawings, master classes on the products of our network, give incredible and everyone's favorite gifts Your life is close with the world of fashion and glossy. You participate in projects as a photo model advertising clothes and jewelry. You have won titles in beauty contests. What Is modeling closer to you?
I never considered myself as a model and realized that to be such – not my vocation, and the external data (figure) does not meet the

standards of models that we used to think. But last year, the unfamiliar subscriber of my Instagram life admitted that he had secretly applied for my participation in a beauty contest. I just blocked him then and laughed. But then came the offer for a casting call, which I easily passed. Not believing such a quick turn of events, I went up to the organizers of the contest, in order to clarify whether they were sure that I was suitable. The answer to my question was a clear “yes”. In the end I decided to try it and my big surprise was that I really liked it. It was not my goal to become a model, because I just love taking pictures and posing for the camera. It's more my hobby and passion. How do you spend your free time? What are your main three priorities in life?
Unfortunately, I don't have any free time. The world I live in is so exciting and active that sometimes I don't have a couple more hours to realize my crazy ideas. For me, my family, my parents, my children who give me wings are invaluable.
In turn, my work gives me professional development, attending various trainings. What are your plans for the near future? What spheres you are interested in?
I am interested in my profession as it does not stand still and develops in the context of world events. However, in my dreams there are some unrealized points, one of which is to try myself as a TV presenter of a star show or a photo model of a red lipstick world brand.

Jessica

KOOMPSON Jessica Koompson is an aspiring model from America. She lives in a big family with her two brothers and sister. She always loved to play around with clothes and trying new ideas. Later she understood that she has to take that interest as something serious and that happened in her junior year. What inspired you to become a model? Cloths always been something special for me, so it was really interesting for me even to mix up different styles. After my friends told me that I actually have a taste and it is something I should think of doing I understood that modeling is one of those directions which is directly related to cloths and fashion. That is how I found myself in modeling. What is the best thing about your country? Is modeling popular there as a professional direction? The best thing in America is the abundance of opportunities. People can find themselves in any directions they like and make it as a sense of their life’s. In case of modeling, it is a big and serios part of America, cause a lot of fashion events are taking parts in different parts of America and a lot of famous models lives there. What does your family think about your career? In my family we all respect and support each other, especially in those cases which brings us happiness. As long as I am happy my family support my choice. Who is your favorite model and why? My favorite model is Naomi Campbell. Everything she does in a way of looking and modeling it is perfect for me. More than that she is a very beautiful black woman. What are your goals as a model? My greatest strength is that no matter what happens I always push forward; nobody can make me fall back. Do you think sense of taste in clothes matters a lot? I do think that it matters a lot, but I also think that it is very important to respect any tastes of people in what they wear and how they look like. What are your hobbies or interests outside of modeling? I really love to sing and to cook something delicious for my family and friends. When I have a long time free, I use it to visit new places and for different king of adventures. What kind of changes do you expect in the modeling industry? The main one that I would like to see is diversity. We all know that models are considered to be thin and tall. It would be much cooler to see runway models and editorial models of all shapes, sizes and heights. That would give more possibilities and new faces to that industry. What are your plans for your modeling career? As the main one is to get modeling invitations and job for different brands. I am not that kind of person who can work from 9 Am till evening and make something I don’t like.

When you have support and an example of how another person went through something similar, it's easier for you to go after your goal

T

ell us more about your main occupation and how did you come into this field? I have been in the advertising world for over 18 years. I've come a long way from office manager to owner of an advertising agency. I'm very glad I did because I saw different sides of the advertising business. I got into advertising by chance, not on purpose. By coincidence, I was offered to replace the girl-secretary at a large advertising agency, which belongs to AFK System. That's where I stayed. Thus, I plunged into the world of big clients, projects, and big budgets. My main function for many years has been the client service. Therefore, I can say with confidence that making contact with people and keeping their attention is a daily routine for me. And I should say that it's a pleasant occupation, which can hardly be called a job. I basically enjoy doing my job, it's probably extremely important for everyone. To find a place of my own that brings joy and inner fulfillment, not destruction. What difficulties have you encountered in achieving your goals? The main difficulty was at the beginning of the journey, eight years ago, when we first started out we didn't have a portfolio. But I was talking in those moments about personal experiences with brands during my time as a salaried employee at agencies. And I still hear about that a lot, and I say myself, that it's not the companies that cooperate with each other, but people do. So my experience legitimately formed the basis of what our agency does.

You are planning to launch several charitable projects. What kind of projects will they be? I have developed a need to help people as I grew older. Especially children who cannot realize their dream because of their parents' difficult financial situation. The dream in this case can look in different ways. It can be a toy or paying for a course or a sports club. My way to my dream was long. I want to help shorten it for children for whom it is really important. And the second direction – financial literacy for children, there is a similar situation, I learned how to deal with money at the age of 36. It is a pity that I was not introduced to this issue in action. How to keep yourself and your hobbies in mind when you have an active, daily schedule? The schedule is active, but as I said earlier, it's about building a schedule for the day. I do stretch, English, and I get massage three times a week, and twice a month I have beauty treatments. All the above-mentioned procedures are done at home, which saves me a lot of time. Shopping with a stylist also saves time. How has Covid-19 influenced the sphere of advertising? Advertising activity did not stop. At the same time, there was a decline in sales, which the brands have adequately endured. And continued to promote their brands. Specifically, for us, Covid-19 also did not affect much, or rather we quickly adapted to the situation and continued the work process in the new model. What else do you plan to develop in the next 5 years? At the moment I am interested in video clips production. I think to develop in this direction. More precisely, I have experience but have decided to move in a separate direction and to grow a profiling agency. I am studying for an MBA and in a couple of years, I plan to become an international diploma holder.

I don't look around, I just go. When you start to look around at your competitors, study them, analyze them, in the classic sense of building a business, you automatically see a lot of disadvantages in yourself, which makes you weaker. You are a nominee for the "Mainstream Women of the Year" award. Can you tell us more about that? My story of achieving what I have now is quite interesting and, in my opinion, can be useful to girls who, for one reason or another, do not dare to launch their own business. When you have support and an example of how another person went through something similar, it's easier for you to go after your goal. The "Top Women of the Year" nomination allows you to talk about yourself, your steps, and demonstrate the results. How do you combine a demanding job and motherhood? I don't have a universal recipe. It's difficult, especially when you do without a nanny. But this is everyone's choice, for me, it was important to live with a child myself for the first 3 years of his life. At times like these, it's important to feel supported by others and give yourself a chance to rest. Now when the older one is in school, and the younger one is in kindergarten, everything is easier. I have the whole working day at my disposal, and in the evening, I already communicate with my children and husband. mover-magazine.com  115

Anthony Swint @newlineup_photography

A

s we know, you have worked as a photographer since high school. What inspired you at the beginning of your photography journey? When Anthony was 16, he got his first camera. “At that time, I was attending West Side High School in Newark, New Jersey. I shot my first fashion show there. Inspired by the atmosphere and my work, I became more and more interested in Fashion Photography”. How has photography transformed you as a human being? What are some of the key differences that you have identified in yourself before and after you began taking photos? “I explore a lot! Most of my ideas for shoots come from just walking through a trail in a park. I see things with a camera differently when shooting Outdoor Photography. Finding mistakes, shooting with a blur - everything takes practice. I always challenge myself to get the best quality”. At what point did you realize that photography is what you wanted to do as a career? “Being able to work with stylists&models. I like cooperating with people to express my thoughts in a shoot” How would you describe your photography style? What would you compare your work with? Anthony describes his photography style in three words - inspiring, entertaining, with graphics. He’s trying to compare photos based on how he views things in life. Where do you get your inspiration from? “I get a lot of creative ideas from movies&magazines”. What has been your favorite photo location? Skate Park in Newark, New Jersey. Locals called it Shorties. Most of the photographer’s favorite shoots took place there. What are your TOP-5 tips from the field that you can share to help aspiring photographers improve their work? “When I started taking pictures, the first thing I did was - research. I had to understand what I was shooting. I would go outside and practice with an object, a person in different places, and different lighting conditions. Getting different people to input is good when you first start. Now you can go back to your photos, see what happened and what is worth working on. I had problems with dark photos when I first started out. Taking pictures outdoors helped me to deal with that”.

What projects are you working on now? Anthony working on an Old Roadway Alleyway Shoot in Newark. He describes his idea: “I want to play with a lot of lighting for this shoot, try some RGB lighting to add some effects”. Tell us more about your plans for the future “I’m building a resume for commercial shooting for different companies like Nike. I’m looking forward to working with designers & much more “. What’s the most important thing you want potential clients to know about you? “I’m hard working. I take pride in everything I do. Whether I’m editing pictures or taking them. I always find ways to make it even better”.
