Financial Assistance

Here at the Missoula Y, we are proud to offer financial assistance for Y programs, services, and membership. Does financial assistance expire? Program financial assistance expires after six months. Membership financial assistance expires after one year. In order to continue to receive financial assistance, you must reapply prior to expiration. Membership will continue at full cost should you choose not to reapply and/or should you not qualify. How do I apply for financial assistance? You will need to complete an application and return it with all the required documentation. Applications can be found online at ymcamissoula.org/waivers-and-forms or at the Welcome Center. Applications without documentation are considered incomplete and will not be accepted. If additional documentation is needed, we will hold the application for 30 days and, if documentation is not received, the application will be destroyed. When will I be notified if I’m approved for assistance? Once your completed application, with all required documentation, is received by our Welcome Center Staff, our Financial Assistance Representative will process it and contact you within 10 business days. How is the Y Financial Assistance Program made possible? Generous donors make the Y Financial Assistance Program possible! Each year, the Missoula Y hosts its Annual Support Campaign from January–March. Gifts made to the Annual Support Campaign support the Y Financial Assistance Program. Who do I contact with questions? School’s Out Day Camp

A day of camp during school holidays! Drop off is at the Missoula Y from 7:30–9:00 a.m. and pickup is at the Y from 4:30–6:00 p.m. Registration must be made two weeks prior to camp to receive regular pricing. Late registration pricing begins two weeks prior to camp date. Registration fees are non-refundable once late registration begins. 2020 SUMMER CAMP 2020 Camp Season & Hours

Registration & Deposits

Camp Season Starts June 9 Monday–Friday......................................9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

A one-time $15 registration fee** is required for each camper each summer. A $25 deposit per camp is due at time of registration. This deposit guarantees your child’s place and is applied to the total balance due. Balances must be paid at least one week prior to the first day of each camp session.

The Y offers the longest hours of care of any day camp in Missoula! Full-day camps run 7:30–6:00 p.m.*

Breakfast, Lunch, & Snack

Camps include breakfast, lunch, and snack each day. All food meets Y-HEPA (Healthy Eating and Physical Activity) standards. Campers may choose to bring their own healthy lunches if they prefer.

Safety & Supervision

Staff are certified in CPR and First Aid. All camp staff participate in an annual week-long training. Campers are supervised by Y staff at all times. Y camps follow a 1 counselor : 10 campers ratio. At no time will one Y staff member be alone with one child.

**Licensed summer camps have a one-time supply fee of $50 ($75 if registering 2+ children from the same household)

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available for all summer camps. Applications are available online and at the Welcome Center. Applications must be completed and returned 7 days prior to camp registration. The Missoula Y’s Camp Imagination and Hellgate summer camps are licensed through the State of Montana and accept Best Beginning scholarships.

Junior OULA®

Yoga

OULA encourages self expression, freedom of movement, and a good workout using fun, easy-to-follow choreography set to current music. Child-appropriate music and dance. Honors OULA choreography and energy. See app for most up-to-date schedules. Ages 5–12 Offered Labor Day to Thanksgiving and January to MCPS Spring Break.

PiYo

Designed with a constant flow of movements that will increase strength, core stability, and flexibility, this dynamic, total-body workout will kick up the calorie burn and build lean muscle.

Running Class

Amp up your training with tempo runs, speed workouts, and race workout strategies. Winter classes are held on the Y’s indoor track and summer classes are held outdoors at Stegner Track.

This class is a combination of strength training and core work to emphasize muscular strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Added cardio in Strength & Core+. Focus on basic yoga postures, alignment principles, and breathing techniques that help balance, strengthen, and stretch the body. Recommended for those wishing to strengthen the foundation of their practice, or who simply want an on-going practice in harmony with their level of strength, balance, and flexibility.

Gentle Yoga

Explore gentle movements to increase flexibility, strength, and well-being. Students are led through stretches, yoga postures, and breathing practices that will guide them into deep relaxation. Ideal for those with chronic stress, those recovering from illness, and/or those who want a gently approach to practicing yoga.

Sunrise Yoga

This early-morning class combines Sun Salutations with challenging strength and flexibility poses.

Cycle

A fast-paced 45-minute ride of flats and hills set to motivating music. All fitness levels welcome.

Cycle +

This 60-minute ride is full of flats, hills, and speed drills.

Cycle + Core

A 45-minute ride workout followed by 15 minutes of core exercises.

Cycle HIIT

High Intensity Interval Training. An intense 30-minute ride.

Aqua Fit

Low-, moderate-, and high-intensity aerobic activity options, deep-water exercise, and resistance training using water dumbbells, noodles, and kickboards.

Duo Aqua Fit

Work your way from the deep to shallow end.

Aqua HIIT

Includes specialized Tabata transitions into the water. Minimal choreography, maximum results. A high-intensity, low-impact workout.

The Adaptive & Inclusive Member Services (AIMS) program provides healthy opportunities for adults with disabilities. All programs held at the Missoula Y at 3000 S. Russell St. unless noted. RENTALS & CERTIFICATIONS Rentals are available for birthday parties, school groups, and other occasions. Rental times are dependent on facility and staff availability. Certifications

Register online or at the Welcome Center. Ask about CPR certifications for your business or group of 5+. American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Includes certificates in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer. All classes are mandatory. This class has 7 hours of required online coursework. Ages 15+ Session & Fee March 29–April 26 Sundays....................................................8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Fee $142 (includes training manual and CPR mask) American Heart Association CPR Certification Course is held from 6:15–9:15 p.m. at the Missoula Y.
