Iron Will Triathlon

November 15–December 31 A long-distance triathlon consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run/walk. The twist? You have 45 days to complete it! Registration runs November 1–December 30. Open to all fitness levels. Finishers receive long-sleeve dri-fit shirts! Finish strong with the Tri the New Year Triathlon on December 31 and receive 20% of registration. Fee $26 w/ Y Membership

Tri the New Year Indoor Triathlon

Tuesday, December 31 An indoor triathlon featuring an 8-minute swim, 22-minute bike ride, and 15-minute run/walk around the Y track. Open to all fitness levels. 120 person limit. Registration opens December 2019. Registration includes a T-shirt. All Iron Will Triathlon participants receive 20% off their Tri the New Year registration. Fee $20/individual • $56/team of 3

Financial Assistance

Here at the Missoula Y, we are proud to offer financial assistance for Y programs, services, and membership. Does financial assistance expire? Program financial assistance expires after six months. Membership financial assistance expires after one year. In order to continue to receive financial assistance, you must reapply prior to expiration. Membership will continue at full cost should you choose not to reapply and/or should you not qualify. How do I apply for financial assistance? You will need to complete an application and return it with all the required documentation. Applications can be found online at ymcamissoula.org/waivers-and-forms or at the Welcome Center. Applications without documentation are considered incomplete and will not be accepted. If additional documentation is needed, we will hold the application for 30 days and, if documentation is not received, the application will be destroyed. When will I be notified if I’m approved for assistance? Once your completed application, with all required documentation, is received by our Welcome Center Staff, our Financial Assistance Representative will process it and contact you within 10 business days. How is the Y Financial Assistance Program made possible? Generous donors make the Y Financial Assistance Program possible! Each year, the Missoula Y hosts its Annual Support Campaign from January–March. Gifts made to the Annual Support Campaign support the Y Financial Assistance Program. Who do I contact with questions? Certified personal trainers will help you commit to a healthier lifestyle. Your trainer will design a program specifically for you based on your needs and schedule.

ADULT GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES

Set to fun, energetic music, this class offers you an upper body workout with weights, lower body exercises at the barre, and high-intensity core throughout!

Core

Incorporates exercises that strengthen the powerhouse: abdominals, back, hips, and glutes. Increases overall strength, core stability, and agility.

HIIT/HIIT+

High Intensity Interval Training. Minimal equipment, maximum cardio and calorie burn. All levels welcome. Added core in HIIT+

Intro Classes

Held periodically throughout the year, these sessions will prepare you for regular classes by teaching the basics of a class genre’s terminology, moves, and patterns. Intro classes are low- to moderate intensity and offer a slower pace with more basic moves. Additional coaching is available for any class you may have more questions about. Punch and kick your way to fitness! This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. Release stress, have a blast, and feel like a champ.

Les Mills BODYPUMP™

The original barbell workout set to music! This class will work all major muscle groups, burn calories, shape and tone your body, increase core strength, and improve bone health in just 55 minutes.

Les Mills CXWORX™

This 30-minute workout focuses on the core! Learn correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt, and lower back exercises.

OULA encourages self expression, freedom of movement, and a good workout using fun, easy-to-follow choreography set to current music.

Running Class

Amp up your training with tempo runs, speed workouts, and race workout strategies. Winter classes are held on the Y’s indoor track and summer classes are held outdoors at Stegner Track.

Yoga

Focus on basic yoga postures, alignment principles, and breathing techniques that help balance, strengthen, and stretch the body. Recommended for those wishing to strengthen the foundation of their practice, or who simply want an on-going practice in harmony with their level of strength, balance, and flexibility.

Buti Yoga

A dynamic asana practice fused with primal movement, deep core engagement, and more!

Gentle Yoga

Explore gentle movements to increase flexibility, strength, and well-being. Students are led through stretches, yoga postures, and breathing practices that will guide them into deep relaxation. Ideal for those with chronic stress, those recovering from illness, and/or those who want a gently approach to practicing yoga.

Sunrise Yoga

This early-morning class combines Sun Salutations with challenging strength and flexibility poses.

Cycle

Aqua Fit

This class is a combination of strength training and core work to emphasize muscular strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Added cardio in Strength & Core+.

A fast-paced 45-minute ride of flats and hills set to motivating music. All fitness levels welcome.
