alisse Lockhart-Ford is an entrepreneur and creative professional who is taking the publishing industry by storm! Mother, entrepreneur, and professional, she does it all. Specializing in publishing, design, and media, she has created a name for herself with her innovative ideas and projects. Ms. Lockhart-Ford is presently the Editor-In-Chief and Publisher of Midwest Black Hair Magazine-an Upscale Hair & Beauty Publication, Midwest Black Hair PRO-a Professional Publication for Hair & Beauty Professionals, and is also the Owner of mlfCreations, a MultiMedia & Publishing company specializing in print and digital design, and publishing. An innovator in the beauty industry, Malisse has taken her specialty in design, marketing, and publishing, and has re-invented the traditional hair magazine to a publication that supports small businesses and helps others share their brand with the world. By taking the magazine digital with online viewing and an iTunes and GooglePlay App, she has built an interactive relationship between businesses and celebrities and readers. Realizing the beauty in everything, Malisse Lockhart-Ford creates magic in all her business endeavors. From designing a marketing campaign for a business, to helping a publication communicate more aesthetically through their design layouts, she brings it every time. Taking the time to speak with other aspiring entrepreneurs young and old to help in any way possible in their journey is also a passion of Malisse’s.
