FUN-COMPETITIONS IN THE NETHERLANDS September has been the month of fun-competitions in the Netherlands, we had the grevelingencup and the realtrip. During the grevelingencup we had wind between 4 and 6 beaufort, changing all the time during the day . I was mainly sailing with the 8.4 TRXI on my big board, however sometimes this was too big; then I changed to 7.7 TRXI and medium board.

At the realtrip in the north of country we were less fortune with the wind, we only had 3 bft. Because this is all for fun, we did still start the long distance races of 8km each. The TRXI 8.4 is my biggest sail, so I was barely planing and even needed to tack some of the fun races. The realtrip was a great event with many windsurf friends! Besides events I also had a lot of free sailing/training and I did my second wave session ever. With 2 meter waves and the wind a little less than predicted and a bit side-offshore, it was quite a challenge, but I really enjoyed it together with friends! This weekend i was competing in the last race of the danish national Formula/slalom championship. First day we did 4 formula races, i was struggling a bit to get really great speed in gusty wind, where i used my Mauisails TRX1 11,0 which was really big on the upwind some times and made it super hard to really get going fast. Second day we got two races and we had super gusty conditions, on the limit, but i had again my 11,0. which i am so comfortable with, and my speed was good. Overall i finished 4 at this event. My overall Formula/Slalom result is also 4# spot which i am super satisfied with. Ones again i am official Danish sailing union "Danish Formula/Slalom champion 2015" All in all i am super stoked and happy to be a surfer and share my passion with all of the nice guys on the danish racing tour.

NOT THAT WINDY IN SOUTH OF FRANCE
I had a very Nice session in Hyères / Almanarre, pushing the 7.0 to the limit of its range : the wind was 20/30 knots and I was still able to sail full power. Fall has come and we know have colder and stronger winds! Xavier Joly
