FEBRUARY 24 Hours For Hank
One of Sandpoint’s most endearing and popular events, the annual Eichardt’s K9 Keg Pull is moving this year to the Granary location to combine with Evans Brothers Coffee’s Family Fun Day and The Eureka Institute’s Dodge Ball tournament, making for one big event not to be missed. The Keg Pull starts at 10am, with dogs of all sizes racing down a snowpacked course pulling anywhere from full-size kegs to beer cans, amidst a pandemonium of cheering from the crowd. $5 entry fee goes to the Panhandle Animal Shelter. A free Neighborhood Coffee Tasting will take place at the Evans Brothers’ Roasting Studio throughout the event, with hot chocolate for the kids.

The sixth annual “24 Hours of Schweitzer” is a 24 hour downhill ski event that benefits Cystinosis Research, a rare and fatal disease that affects only 500 people nationwide. This all day and night fundraiser honors Hank Sturgis of Sandpoint, who has been diagnosed with Cystinosis. www.24hoursforhank.org March 29 – Winterfest. Join Schweitzer for Winterfest, an outdoor brew festival! Beers will be on tap at the Schweitzer tent located in the village. The music will be pumping, food will be cooking and we’ll have the Centennial Lounge open on the Taps patio!
with a Mardi Gras Grad Night Dinner and Auction at the Panhandle State Bank beginning at 5:30pm. Tickets are $25 and will be sold at Pine Street Bakery and Pend d’Oreille Winery.
