ere are many great ooks to read!

I like it when the Authors read to us...

I love ‘Voices’, all the different Authors are so interesting!

In 2016, the Whitsunday Anglican School Foundation (WAS Foundation) assisted the Mackay Sony Foundation Children’s Holiday Camp in giving 13 local kids with special needs the ability to experience a ‘school camp’. An opportunity they have never been a part off. During the two nights of the camp, their parents were given a much needed break from the struggle that everyday life brings to their families. We look forward to supporting the camp again in 2017.

WAS Foundation Families Scholarship Hello my name is Billie Dale and I was lucky enough to receive a WAS Foundation scholarship at Whitsunday Anglican School. I am from Bowen, which means I board during the week and go home to my family on the weekend. Boarding is amazing, the environment is like home, but different. Even though I am just heading into my third week at this school, I am already enjoying all it has to offer. I would like to say thank you to the School and to the WAS Foundation for opening my opportunities and allowing me to attend your school through the scholarship. I am extremely grateful that you have given me the chance to experience a different type of learning and life experiences.

Malcolm Small Foundation Scholarship Benefits of a Foundation Scholarship – Fenlon Family One of the most important decisions we have to make as parents is the school we select for our children’s education. As business owners in the Central Highlands, Whitsunday Anglican School (WAS) was the school that best suited our life. Our three children all attend WAS in a flexible boarding arrangement, which suits our quest to balance our family work/life commitments. Having three children in boarding is a major financial commitment. Thankfully, one of our children is the recipient of a Foundation Scholarship, which is on on-going scholarship which assists us greatly to give our children an education that meets their needs. We have certainly made the right decision sending our children to WAS as the school provides them with up to date education practices and a learning environment that is flexible and is individualised to each child. The teachers (both Day and Boarding) have outstanding commitment and show a real and genuine interest in developing each of our children to be their absolute best and they really work to support and encourage their individual talents and passions. Our whole family benefits from the school values which are instilled into our children.
