In the majority of Latin America’s countries, unequal opportunities have increased ever since the 80’s, even in countries that used to be considered as thriving. Amigos of the Planet Foundation A.C. has a deep knowledge of these problems, and along with NGO’s and community leaders, helps to connect donors and communities in need. From a one-time tax-deductible donation to ongoing grants, Amigos of the Planet offers a variety of international grant tools and advice to help you reach your philanthropic goals. Who We Are. Amigos of the Planet Foundation is a non-profit civil association, legally constituted in 2016 by P.A. Public Deed 2932, notary No. 29 of the City of Cancun, state of Quintana Roo. Therefore, we have the ability to receive tax-free donations.

8

Our Mission: To inspire philanthropy and the culture of donations within corporations in the United States and the rest of the world for the benefit of communities in Mexico and Latin America. Our Vision: To be a role model as a nongovernmental institution that sets new trends in international philanthropy by efficiently addressing both regional and global challenges through community awareness.

OUR MAIN GOALS 1. Quality Education: to ensure an inclusive, equitable, and quality education and promote opportunities for learning for all, especially women and children. 2. To promote healthy life styles and well-being for all ages. To reduce some of the most common causes of mortality among women and infants by means of doctor visits. Provide access to clean water, promote sports, ensure adequate nutrition, particularly of those in extreme poverty. 3. Combat climate change and its effects by helping change attitudes to a sensitive awareness and incentivize the use of renewable energy and resort to low emission sources and depend less on carbon.

Sharing MakesYou a Better Person

Sharing a meal with others actually makes you a better person, suggests a new study in the journal Appetite. And according to Time magazine, “In primitive times, food was delivered in bulk in the form of a whole animal—bison for four, anyone? — so it had to be shared by more than just a single family, the study notes. Since the very early days, food has been closely linked with cooperation. Learning how to distribute those portions fairly helped promote mortality and equality.” Of course, we can share food and much more. Our CSR activities include sharing of food with those in need, remodeling of schools and other facilities

remodeling, football matches, clothes and toys drive, and many more. It is very rewarding to give back since it gives us a sense of happiness and fulfillment. Creating a Difference for a Sustainable Tomorrow In line with our effort and promise to achieve our lofty goals, we strongly believe in creating value for all our stakeholders, while translating it into the betterment of communities, environment and the society at large through sustainable initiatives.

Travel Tip: A Crash Course in Airline Safety If you have fear of flying, you are not alone. A Gallop poll found that forty-four percent of Americans dread getting on a plane. This fear is so great, one psychologist estimates three-four percent of the population equates flying with going to the electric chair. Aviophobia (the fear of flying) is, according to USA Today, the second biggest phobia following public speaking. Airborne anxiety plays no favorites. It can attack anyone, including the rich and famous.

(Taken from page 177)

What makes a natural fear of flying go away? My first realization was if I wanted to continue in the professional speaking business, I would have to fly. Did you know flying is nineteen to thirty times safer than driving and ten times safer than train travel? In fact, you are more likely to die of a bee sting or to be hit by a baseball at a major-league game than to die in an airplane crash!
