Jerusalem: The Hebrew University Application Submit the materials below along with your iAbroad application by our application deadline, NOT Hebrew University’s (later) deadline. I. MATERIALS TO SUBMIT ONLINE VIA HEBREW UNIVERSITY WEBSITE •

Your online Application for Admission: https://overseas.huji.ac.il/admissions/apply-now/applyonline/. Register as a New User unless you are a Return User (if you started or completed an application for a previous term).

On the Preliminary Questions page, select Undergraduate Studies from the drop-down list and then the appropriate term. On the next page, select Undergraduate Study Abroad Program, Art Jerusalem, or Dance Jerusalem as applicable, as well as the Period of Studies. Next, be sure to select one of the Pre-semester Courses or the Optional Semester Modern Hebrew Course. Course descriptions are here: https://overseas.huji.ac.il/academics/undergraduate-programs/ugrad-usap/. Scroll down to Curriculum and select the Pre-Semester Program: “Encountering Jerusalem” section. On the Recommendations page, DO NOT complete the Academic Letters of Recommendation section. Education Abroad will send the two recommendations you have already obtained for your iAbroad application to Hebrew University for you.

Application fee of $120.00 payable to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Please note that there is a fee for paying by credit card.

The Hebrew Placement Exam: All applicants must take the exam. It is used for placement purposes only and proficiency in Hebrew is not required for participation in this program. Information about taking the exam will be sent to you via an email from risweb@mail.huji.ac.il after you submit your online application. Note that your application will not be considered complete until you take the exam.

II. MATERIALS TO SUBMIT TO IU EDUCATION ABROAD via EMAIL The following documents should be sent via email to Melissa Thorne (mcthorne@iu.edu) as PDFs: •

Two official transcripts including current enrollment: Order IU transcripts via the Registrar’s Office (https://studentcentral.indiana.edu/transcripts/order-transcript/pdf-transcript.html); if you have attended other universities, contact those registrars.

The following documents will be attached to an email from risweb@mail.huji.ac.il once you submit your online HUJ application. You may also use the links provided. 1. HUJ Disclaimer Form: https://overseas2.huji.ac.il/onlineapply/Disclaimer.pdf 2. HUJ Report of Medical Examination: https://overseas2.huji.ac.il/onlineapply/MEDICALFORM.pdf. It must be fully completed and returned with one photocopy by IU Education Abroad’s deadline. o

Make sure your physician submits the completed medical report to you–not to Hebrew University–for forwarding to Education Abroad. Note that it may be quicker to have a physician at the IU Health Center complete the form rather than your regular physician.

Be sure to print a third copy and bring it with you to Israel.

3. HUJ Study Abroad Approval Form: https://overseas2.huji.ac.il/onlineapply/studyabroadapprovalform.pdf. Print it and complete the top section. Education Abroad will fill out the rest of this form for you.

III. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INDIANA UNIVERSITY FINANCIAL AID To continue receiving financial aid through IU (i.e. grants, loans, scholarships), file a FAFSA through the IU Office of Student Financial Aid. You should not submit a FAFSA to Hebrew University. If you wish to be considered for a Borns Jewish Studies scholarship, be sure to complete the iAbroad eform entitled Confirm Interest in Presidential Match Scholarship for Study in Israel. HEBREW UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS Hebrew University offers merit-based and need-based scholarships.
