Hello.

My name is Joeley Pulver and it is a privilege to be speaking here today in honor of Dalia, who is celebrating 40 years of dedicated service to Holy Blossom Temple.

If anyone is unsure whether Dalia has actually been working at Holy Blossom for 40 years, our family is a true testament to her dedication over the decades.

In her years at the synagogue, she has not only taught myself my Torah portion for my Bat Mitzvah, she has also assisted my father, my uncle, my aunt, and some of my cousins. When I found out that Dalia would be teaching me my torah portion, I was very excited. We had a very special connection from the moment we met, and not only because we have the same Hebrew name, Dalia. It was very special to be able to talk about my family with her, and for her to share stories with me about my father when he was little. When I was asked to have the honor of reading from the torah for Yom Kippur, I had one condition - that Dalia be my teacher. Likely my wish was granted and we continued our relationship for the next 2 years. I feel blessed to have had Dalia as my teacher and I hope that my sister and brother will also have the opportunity for Dalia to be their teacher for their B’nei Mitzvah.
