About Gram

Gram is all about making sophisticated sneakers. We create shoes that fill the gap between sneakers and traditional shoes. Our roots lie in the Scandinavian design aesthetic; design with clean lines and attention to detail. Each model being unique in its own simplicity.   The brand is centered around the concept

of weight, with each shoe being named after its weight in grams.   At Gram we love shoes, in particular shoes you can wear at the office as well as on a night out.

Gram Patina

Gram A / W 2012 features shoemaking at its best. Footwear engineered from the ground up. Shoes made not only to stand out, but also to be outstanding in every way.   Head Designer Alexis Holm has dug deep into his fascination of traditional shoe making and presents a utilitarian collection with strong, striking details like hand stitching and hand-punched hole patterns. Whether you’re buried in a pile of work, hiding in the urban jungle or enjoying some well deserved relaxation, there’s a Gram shoe for you.   Raw edge vegetable tanned hides, washed tiger

stripe camouflage, dry coated densely woven canvas and brass trims throughout the whole collection. All framed by a subtly off-white topstitching, paired with artisan brogue details, hand-punched holes and some serious hand stitching.   And we were there. The same persons who designed your shoe also bought the fabric, chose the leather, picked the shoelace and wore the shoe. This is our strength and your gain. This is Gram.

Collaboration A / W 2012 — Insjöns Väveri

For SS13 Gram continues it’s unique collaboration with Swedish Royal Court weavers Insjöns Väveri AB. The company was founded in 1947 in post war Sweden by Ivar Holstein. In the town of Insjön in the Dalecarlia region a seven man crew of dedicated craftsmen have been turning out table cloths, runners and serviettes – literary fit for a king – for more than 64 years.   The shoe 380g insjön navy runner, features the runner fabric Anette. Anette is a classic kypert weave consisting of extremely heavy duty linen with long fibres, grown on

the windy slopes of mediterranean France and Egyptian cotton, known for its durable, high quality. The mix of linen and cotton makes Anette about 11 times more durable than a fabric made from 100% cotton.   The product is refined in Sweden, dyed and weaved, mixing a rugged textured feel with vibrant, cheerful colours. Together with a classic Gram design it creates the perfect derby.

390g New Model

The new release for the A/W12 collection is the 390g. This soon to be a classic Gram shoe is a shoe boot that mixes classic with modern, desert boot with galosh. As a natural progression of a hi-top from the familiar 380g in the Light Weight-line, the 390g offers a comfortable jodphur lace up hybrid with great detail, such as the Norwegian toe stitch. Resting on the same newly developed dura-lite outsole as the 380g with the same durable natural rubber heel. High comfort utilizing a stitch down construction for greater durability and ability to adapt to the shape of your foot, along with superior breathability from the natural leather midsole. This is a shoe to wear a lot, that features anatomical insole, tempered steel shank and a full leather lining. Tigerstripe twill, hand-stitched full grain upper, brass eyelets and hand-punched brogue detailing. Look out for the 390g on the most discerning feet in the autumn of 2012.

383g

The 383g was the first shoe ever to be conceived by Gram’s Head Designer Alexis Holm. Classic styling with a twist, as elements of dress shoe mix with a sneaker cut.   Side stitched natural rubber cup sole ensures a snug fit and excellent grip on all surfaces. Sophisticated details in the form of white stitching, hand-punched hole patterns and brass eylets and vents that will age beautifully.   This season the 383g comes in several easy-to-clean coated canvases and heavy-duty full grain leathers. The micro fleece/pile version completes the collection, offering a wearable shoe adapted for colder climates.

420g

The 420g is a combo of a sleek hi-top and a timeless army boot served in the shape of the Gram Classics line.   Our love for hand craft is very graphic in the combo and hand-punched styles. Sophisticated details in the form of white stitching, hand-punched hole patterns and brass eylets and vents that will age beautifully. This is footwear for any occasion that allows you to stay stylish without backing down on comfort.   This season the 420g comes in several easy-to-clean coated canvases and heavy-duty full grain leathers. 488g

The 488g, the low top of the HW line, is a shoe that does not apologize. The 488g is a unique and charismatic mixture of several well known classics, the derby, the hiker, the deck shoe & the work boot. With its low slung and chunky silhouette it seems almost glued to the ground. Brass vents ensuring a great patina over time. Fully leather lined with expanded rubber foam insole for unrivaled comfort and breathability.   In AW12 some styles come with heavy duty lacing rollers at the bottom and moulded hooks at the top, some with hand-punched brogue details or white stitching. All styles resting on an 18mm, bottom stitched, pure rubber outsole with inverted lug pattern for serious grip.

497g

The 497g hi-top is by some claimed to be the quirkiest shoe ever conceived by Grams Head Designer Alexis Holm. It calls upon boots from the factories of the early days of industrialization and at the same time uses unlikely material combinations to get that updated, current feel. With its low slung and chunky silhouette it seems almost glued to the ground. Brass vents ensuring a great patina over time. Fully leather lined with expanded rubber foam insole for unrivaled comfort and breathability. In AW12 the 497g features two combo styles, showing off our love for shoe making skills. One with a synthetic microfleece pile adapted for colder climates. Both styles resting on an 18mm, bottom stitched, pure rub- ber outsole with inverted lug pattern for serious grip.

380g

The 380g is celebrated by both office climbers and stylish metropolitan rebels all over the world. Put it on and you’ll know why. Embodying the essence of classic men’s footwear with its simple derby cut and pairing it with a sneaker like, light weight, expanded rubber out- sole and natural rubber heel. Providing you with super light and unrivalled comfort without backing down on style. Using only carefully selected premium materials and genuine hand craft during the produc- tion process, every 380g is hand lasted by skilled artisans and matched pair by pair, for the ultimate dressed up comfort experience. For AW12 we have updated this LW classic with coated, easyto clean canvases, some serious hand stitching a handpunched red rust leather and a cow leather welt.

398g

The 398g is our take on a comfortable hi-top jodphur lace up hybrid, with inspiration drawn from our classic 380g. The 398g is a unique shoe boot that mixes classic with modern; small details like a cow leather welt, brass eyelets and dual side elastic panels all add up to a one-of-a-kind expression. Anatomical insole, tempered steel shank, full leather lining and the same expanded rubber outsole and natural rubber heel as the 380g guarantees high comfort and heavy-duty construction. For AW12 the 398g comes in pig leather mixed with hand-punched hole patterns, canvas or tigerstripe twill and brass eyelets that will create a great patina over time.

352g

The 352g from the VZ line is our take on the oldest of sneaker constructions. We use high quality materials like a fully dampened insole, logo moulded natural rubber outsole and a cow leather toecap to create a very hard-wearing and wearable shoe. For AW12 we combine this with brass eyelets and vents, white stitching and coloured foxing reinforcement in the front and back of the shoe to create that attention to detail Gram impression.
