The Indians lost to a talented McNeese Cowboy squad 16-6 in a downpour. It was the Indians' sec足 ond loss fo r the season leaving them with a 1-2-2 record. Mistakes hurt the Indians in the McNeese loss. The team had seven fu mbles, two intercep足 tions and eight penalties that stymied their offen足 sive attack. The Cowboys forced Northeast into passing by holding the Indian running game far below their average. Joe Mitchell was held to 70 yards and Matthew Williams gained onl y 34 yards. The In dians unleashed th eir mos t impressiv e passing attack of the season, despite the heavy rain.
