This class focuses on developing strength in the core muscles, improving posture, and increasing balance skills needed for sports, outdoor activities, and moving comfortably throughout your day. Outdoor Programs

Join us for a unique experience to kayak under the light of a full moon. We'll be heading down to Topaz Lake in time to catch the sunset and put the kayaks out on the water. Transportation and kayaks are provided. We'll also bring glow sticks to decorate your kayak. Feel free to bring your own decorations. Pack clothes for a potentially cool autumn night, a change of clothes, headlamp, water, snacks, and a towel. All ages welcome if they can paddle their own kayak (we recommend about 13 years or older).

Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department is partnering with the City of Reno Adaptive to host this event. If you are unable to ride a traditional two wheeled mountain bike because of an injury or disability, perhaps a three wheeled adaptive mountain bike is the ticket to get you out on the trails! This is an opportunity to try a variety of adaptive mountain bikes under the guidance of a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Participants may demo the bikes by riding on the Carson River Trails System with many miles of 10 foot wide trails on a compacted DG base, or try the more challenging 5th Street Loop Trails with a natural surface tread. 5th St. Trailhead (corner of 5th and Carson River Rd) 11:30am
