FROM ME TO YOU Christmas is a wonderful time of the year to invite friends and family to church. There is no other season like Christmas when people are open to hearing the Christmas message. This Christmas season, we offer a number of opportunities to invite family and friends. Let me highlight a few of them‌. Bethel Christmas Party December 8th at 5:30PM A great opportunity is to invite a local family to join with us for an evening of fun at our Bethel Christmas party. We will be having horse-drawn wagon rides, fire pits, games, cookie decorations, and new this year‌Laser Tag! A great way to introduce a family to our church community! Notice the 5:30PM start time!

in our Sarnia community to find a place of comfort this Christmas in this special memorial service. Mat Gauthier will be our special guest soloist. Sunday Service December 15th at 10:30AM

Of course we like to think that any Sunday is a good day to invite someone to church. But December 15th will be a great time, especially to invite family members as our Kids ministry will be making Christmas presentations. Pastor Tricia will be preaching and following the service we will be having Christmas music, cookies and hot chocolate in our Lobby. Christmas Eve Service -

December 11th at 7:00PM

Our Christmas Eve service is always a highlight each year. May I encourage you this year to think about someone you could invite to this service. Maybe a neighbour or a co-worker. I know many will have commitments with Christmas at that time, but many others are looking for a place to go.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the most difficult and lonely. Especially for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. It is hard to know how to remember and honour a lost loved one at the Christmas season. This year will be our 4th year that we are offering a Christmas Memorial service to honour and give a place in our hearts this Christmas to a loved one who has passed. This service is not just for those of us at Bethel, but is also a great opportunity to invite those

Christmas is the Season of Giving As we will be busy this Christmas season buying gifts for loved ones, may I encourage you to give a Missions financial gift this Christmas.

We announced this past month a new initiative at Bethel in Missions giving. We are participating with other PAOC churches in the Sarnia section in renting, as a goal, 100 acres of farm land. We will plant seed this Spring, for a Harvest next Fall. With major subsidies in the seed and in the farming, we anticipate that our initial investment will bring in a profit. Those funds will then be giving to the Canadians Foods Grain Bank which is matched 4:1 by the Canadian Government. We will be renting an acre of farm land for $250 and are anticipating a return of $600 (this includes the subsides from the farm industry). Our goal is 100 acres for $25,000 which will return us $60,000. That $60,000 will become $300,000 through the Canadian governments 4:1 match. These funds will then be sent to our PAOC Missions organization ERDO (Emergency & Relief Development Oversees) to feed those in our world who are suffering with hunger and malnutrition. A $250 gift will yield $1,250 in impact. Would you consider sponsoring an acre of land? OR a halfacre? OR a few acres? The Lord promises to bless those who give to the poor. Have a Wonderful Christmas Season From my family, and all the Elders and Staff at Bethel, we wish you a most blessed Christmas season and look forward to all that God has for us in 2020. Pastor Tim Gibb
