GA ME PR E V IE W The Pilots welcome in the nation’s No. 24-ranked team, and one of their fiercest rivals, in the Huntington Foresters. The Foresters are coming off a controversial loss on the road to No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan, 98-99. After the Foresters missed a potential game-winning three-pointer with six seconds left, Kellen Zawadzki fouled Will Hubertz of Indiana Wesleyan with one second remaining. Hubertz would make the first free throw and miss the second to give the Wildcats the one point win. The Foresters are one of the most explosive teams in the nation, ranking top ten in the nation in free throw percentage, three-point field goal percentage, assist-to-turnover ratio, field goal percentage, and scoring offense per game. Potential MCC Player of the Year candidate Kellen Zawadzki leads the Foresters with 24.6 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He also makes over three three-pointers per game at a clip of 41.3%. The Pilots have found their stride, winning three straight games after back-to-back last second losses in December, including two MCC road victories at Goshen and Spring Arbor. The Pilots have found plenty of production in the freshman class in those three games, accounting for 113 of the team’s 205 points and 61 of the team’s 120 rebounds in that span. In the Pilots’ exhilarating 61-59 win at Spring Arbor on Thursday night, Kyle Ritz had a career night with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals, including two free throws with 17 seconds remaining that proved to be the final margin of victory. The Pilots are looking for their third straight win in the series, after sweeping the Foresters last year. PROJECT ED
