EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR CCHGS 175TH ANNIVERSARY HISTORY BOOK... ―The Cass County, Il 175th Anniversary History and Families‖ book is being printed by the Cass County Historical Society. The Deadline for submissions has been extended to November 20th. Get your family history in now.

ASHLAND U-HELP... Any student may apply for up to $500 loan with an interest rate of 3%. Applications are available at West Central Bank in Ashland.

ASHLAND WOMAN’S CLUB... Tuesday November 2nd at 12:00. Harvest luncheon at First Baptist Hall. Program: Doll’s Tea Party by Kay Curtis. Luncheon reservations are closed but all women are welcome to attend the program.

SENIOR SAINTS… Sr. Saints will have a catered meal on Nov.16 at 6:00 at the Baptist hall. There will be entertainment. A $10.00 pre-paid reservation fee must be paid by November 9th. Call 478-8848 for reservations.

CASS COUNTY CRIMESTOPPERS….. Cass County Crime Stoppers will be meeting November 10th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at Extra Innings in Ashland.

LOOKING AHEAD… In January of 2011, The First Baptist Church of Ashland will be celebrating the 125th Anniversary of it’s founding. COMMUNITY CLUB NEWS The Ashland Community Club will not be holding a Christmas season open-house this November. Thank you for your past support of this. We still have 150th celebration items for sale. There are cookbooks for $15.00 and professionally made DVD’s of the weekend activities for $30. These will make excellent Christmas gifts.

The A-C Central PTO is asking the community members of Chandlerville and Ashland to start clipping Box Tops for Education. This is a great way to bring additional funding to our schools. The money earned from Box Tops goes straight into A-C Central classrooms! A-C Central High School will present ―Stocking Stuffers‖ in the Ashland gym at 7 pm Friday, November19th and Saturday, November 20th. The show is a series of nine short holiday skits involving various Christmas characters and storylines, including Donner and Blitzen, Barbie and Ken, Santa’s elves, baby dolls, and the Easter Bunny. Students involved are Brandon Smith, Cody Miller, Lindsay Allan, Sarah Pherigo, Teagan Smith, Kayla Anderson, Lindsey Cole, Lyndzie Pinney, Allyson Quick, Austin Fields, Cerys Boston, Hannah Miller, Parrish Smith, & Ty Kesselring. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and can be purchased at the door. Come out and support the arts in our schools and get an early start to your holiday spirit!
