DO YOU REMEMBER……… standing in line in James Park for a chicken dinner on Sunday after Church? Relive that memory-without the wait. The Community Club will be serving a delicious broasted 1/2 chicken dinner (from Nelson’s Catering in Springfield) on Sunday, June 28th from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. (eat in the park and enjoy the music of ―Rewind‖ at 1:00 p.m. or carry it home). TICKETS must be PURCHASED IN ADVANCE by June 15. They are $8 each and are available from J.R. Blair, Brian Creed, Judy Fulton, Steve Aggertt, Debbie Greer, Dale Deihl, Phyllis Stevens, Tanya Wallbaum, Scot Atwood, or Sharon Johnson. Proceeds from the dinner will be used for the expenses of Summer Days. A COMPLETE SCHEDULE of Summers Days is in this newsletter. SUMMER DAYS 2009 Plans continue for Summer Days, to be held June 26-28. It looks like a great week-end, with something for everyone. A Military Timeline/ Encampment will be here all week-end. Talk to them about the period they represent.It's a great history lesson for all. Friday p.m. - Baby Contest, Little Miss and Mr. Contest, First Citizen Award, bingo, fireworks at dusk, beer tent, entertainment by "Acoustic Avenue," food vendors in the park.
