The post prom party is funded by donations from businesses, friends, and families. In order to provide our students with a safe fun environment, monetary donations are needed. Any amount is greatly appreciated. I LOVE YOU” A-C CENTRAL’S STAR 2009 VALENTINE’S DANCE On February 14th 2009, the Students Teaching About Resistance (STAR) organization hosted the annual dance. The theme for this year’s dance was “P. S. I Love You.” Decorations and music were selected to correspond with the theme, while officers and committee members created a night for students to enjoy a healthy lifestyle choice opportunity to dance the night away. Students initiated an open invitation to students from Virginia High School to attend our mid-winter dance. A coronation was held at 7:15 with the announcement of the 2009 Prince Cameron Hager and Princess Grace Johnson crowned by the 2008 Prince Jacob Keeney and Princess Taylor Jacobs. Brock Thompson returned from IC as the 2008 King to crown Brett Stuhmer as the 2009 King and Kaylie Honkala returned from Millikin to crown Jeni Rives as the 2009 Queen. Refreshments of homemade cookies and punch were provided for the students at 9:00. Todd Schroder’s D. J. Service of Springfield provided music for the occasion.
