The two-storey heritage-listed building has been converted into five daringly decorated apartments. Its intriguing backstory (it was once an idiosyncratic private school called Miss Midgley’s Educational Establishment!) has been playfully referenced in its reinterpretation as a chic holiday destination. The project is the work of mother-daughter duo Lisa and Isabella White, who went to great lengths to preserve the building’s eccentricities while equipping it with everything a discerning modern guest may need. The ground-floor apartments boast pet-friendly outdoor courtyards, while the pool area, surrounded by lush tropical greenery, is available for all guests to enjoy.
