Victoria’s seaside village of Sorrento last year unveiled the glamorous new InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula. The site of the town’s iconic 1875 Hotel Continental building has been reinvigorated as a precinct of restaurants and bars, with a wellness centre and luxury hotel.

The hotel’s 108 rooms and suites deftly combine heritage and contemporary features. Conceived by Woods Bagot, the hotel’s design celebrates the locale’s previous heydays in the Victorian and Art Deco eras, reinventing it as a sophisticated and modern coastal retreat. An exclusive, guest-only Mediterranean pool deck provides a sought-after destination for lounging and swimming, with views out across Sorrento and Port Phillip Bay.
