April 2015

ASHMERE TALK Katy is an amazing employee, she currently works in our ECU and the attention she applies to her work is a credit to her. Katy can always be relied on to be proactive and complete anything that needs to be done without the prompting of others. She is very efficient in her role. Katy always has a smile on her face and every time i have walked into the ECU over the past month she has been carrying out some form of activity or singing/dancing with the residents. Katy is a joy to have and I am proud to say she works for our team.

Don’t forget to put forward your nominatio n for May

CODNOR PARK NEWS

T

his month has seen our Easter celebrations in abundance, with a successful coffee morning and an Easter bonnet parade, cake stall and chocolate raffle, as well as live entertainment with one of our favourites, Razzle Dazzle and their “Abbatastic” show. Congratulations to Marion Matthews for winning the Easter Bonnet Prize for the best bonnet. We had a special guest arrive just before Easter who happened to be the right size for a Easter bonnet we’d just made. Dexy Ray looks lovely in her Easter bonnet, even if we had worn her out with all the cuddles. Thank you mummy Charlotte for bringing her in to see us. Thank you also to Liz in the kitchen for making all the yummy cakes that were on sale on Good Friday too. We’ve had trips out, one visit to the church for Tea and Toast and a really good gossip. Sampling the beverages at the French Horn Codnor after window shopping along Codnor’s market place. And a fun morning taking in the spring sights at Little Eaton garden centre with coffee and cake, Yum Yum! As the weather has picked up, we’ve had a couple of days enjoying the sun in the garden whilst Alison does the weeding. The seedlings we planted are coming on a treat and we are looking forward to planting them out soon. If anyone has any plants they would like to donate for our garden or anything else garden related, please contact Alison at Codnor Park on
