At Ashmere, we focus on making our Care Homes as caring and homely as they could possibly be. Each Home has a wonderful feeling of family and belonging. It’s a philosophy we know very well, Ashmere is a family run business spanning three generations. Starting in 1984 with just one Care Home, we have continued to grow by never losing sight of our goal, to create a Home from Home for our residents that is friendly, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped, whilst providing professional, high quality care.

A NEW CHAPTER

In every one of our Homes, we ensure that residents can begin a whole new chapter. To do this we take care of every little detail. We take care of the simple things, like being well cared for and having good wholesome food. We also take care of your wellbeing, we help you to feel a part of something, make new friendships, take part in new or long forgotten hobbies and help you to get involved in the community. There are clubs to join such as

cookery, gardening, arts and crafts and computing. There are activities to enjoy such as watching a film and reminiscing, bowling, playing bingo with friends or games and quizzes. Not only that, there is often live entertainment from singers and musicians and exercise classes for everyone’s enjoyment. we have an on site hairdressers and weekly visits from a manicurist and chiropodist. With the Ashmere mini bus ready and waiting there are plenty of trips to

local attractions to keep you busy. There is even a hydrotherapy pool, Jacuzzi and physiotherapy facilities. Our family days are great fun, with residents and their families enjoying sharing everything from the Christmas Party to the Summer Fayre. The staff put huge effort into making these days a great success. However all of this is optional and if you prefer the quiet life, with our cosy private bedrooms, well maintained grounds and peaceful smaller communal

areas, there is always a place to catch a quiet moment. Our care is very much based on the individual’s preferences.

24 hour care is provided by our highly qualified staff who receive ongoing training to work towards nationally recognised qualifications. But it’s not just that; our staff are no ordinary bunch and caring is just the beginning. Fundraising, entertaining, coordinating trips, supporting charity events and becoming your good friends are all part of what our amazing staff do. Now that really is first class care.
