PROVIDING SOLUTIONS

TO EVERYDAY CHALLENGES 2014 has been a very busy year in several aspects. As our business continues to grow, internally we also need stragetic growth to keep up with the momentum of our business. I am pleased to inform you of the newly formed Integrity Solutions group (encompasses the Premier organization, as well as the former Willbros Integrity group). Collectively, Integrity Solutions will now have over 1,200 employees with offices in Columbus, Kansas City, Houston and Hauppauge to better serve our clients with the solutions they need for their everyday challenges. I strongly believe that we are stronger as a unit and this will allow us to leverage the Willbros/Premier brand in markets and areas that make sense for our business. Integrating the groups now provides us with capabilities in field related integrity opportunities through our Columbus and Houston offices. This allows access to the GIS and technology team as well as the Integrity Engineering capabilities out of our Kansas City and Houston offices, and utility services capabilities out of our Hauppauge, NY office. Our strategy will be to pull Premier into the Pipeline markets and Willbros into the Utility markets. I am extremely excited by the opportunities to collaborate and how this strengthens our organization. We strive for excellence in all areas, to safely deliver a Good Job On Time. . . Done Right! Regards,

Marc Makely President - Integrity Solutions

illbros and Google joined together for the second Connect Now Summit in Columbus, Ohio. The summit showcased Willbros technology, specifically Integra LinkTM, a revolutionary information system using the latest in mapping technology. The first summit was held in New York in August. Integra Link, a cloud-based system, allows utility companies to manage, maintain and map their infrastructures. The Willbros Integrity Solutions team demonstrated the benefits of this technology through interactive presentations. Integra Link helps operators to better visualize, verify and analyze field data. Utility

companies can access or input the data in real time from anywhere in the world. Marc Makely, President of Premier and Integrity Solutions, says the summit gave potential clients an opportunity to see that Willbros is an innovator and a solutions provider. “These summits highlight the Company’s long standing history of being pioneers in the oil and gas industry and are designed to connect people, data and systems.” Click here to check out the Innovation Summit.

WILLBROS TAKES ON LEADERSHIP ROLE AT PIPELINE WEEK 2014 W

illbros speakers were front and center at a major oil and gas industry conference in Houston October 28-30, 2014. PennWell and the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) Association agreed to co-locate the 23rd Annual GITA Oil and Gas Pipeline Conference and Exhibition and the 10th Annual PODS User Conference to create Pipeline Week 2014. Willbros was a Diamond Sponsor and Golf Tournament Title Sponsor. “It was an honor to represent the Company at the event,” says Amy Jo McKean of Willbros Engineers. The purpose of the conference is to educate pipeline operators on new advancements in technology and products including (but not limited to): GIS technology, geospatial technology, mapping, pipeline services, pipeline integrity and integrity management, compliance data, and regulatory compliance. According to McKean, the industry recognizes Willbros as a pioneer in the use of GIS to assess the integrity of a pipeline. “Willbros has a great deal of expertise in this area.”

McKean, Carl Meinke and Peter Veenstra, also with Willbros Engineers, spoke at the conference, which was attended by hundreds of oil and gas professionals. McKean and Meinke joined with client NiSource in a presentation on regulatory compliance and pipeline integrity. “We demonstrated how GIS is a helpful tool and how it saves the operator time and money,” Meinke explains. Veenstra’s presentation focused on combining new technology with traditional pipeline data models. Veenstra says he outlined how to merge the two “for easy access and rapid retrieval of data in a flexible manner.” McKean says the Company has been paving the way with GIS technology in pipeline integrity for years. The conference presentations gave McKean, Meinke and Veenstra, the opportunity to demonstrate that Willbros can handle a pipeline integrity project from start to finish. “We’re the company to go to for one-stop shopping,” says McKean.

PREMIER SPOTLIGHT PREMIER REACHES NEW HEIGHTS ON CELL TOWERS

Imagine what it’s like to scale towers up to onethousand feet high. That’s what crews with Premier Services are doing to work on cell phone towers. It’s a business field the Company entered last February and hopes to expand on over time.

T

he workers are climbing up cell towers to modify equipment, including antennas and microwave dishes. Rick Reed, Premier Vice President, says crews are now working on modifications to a cell tower in Ohio that will enhance microwave links for day traders. “There is nothing too big or too little that Premier Tower Services can’t accomplish,” Reed says. According to Reed, there’s a growing need to upgrade existing towers. He says the Company eventually hopes to build new towers, as well. OUR PEOPLE SPOTLIGHT

Ron Sherstan - Project Manager, Integrity “ Nothing beats people with a lot of experience to draw upon to provide the best solutions for our clients.”

SAFETY STAR

Ron Sherstan has been with Willbros since November 2013 and puts client needs above all else. “Customer satisfaction is exceeding their expectations. I’m not talking about delivering beyond our intended scope. I think of it as offering options and recommendations by thinking outside of the scope of project. That puts us as a “go to” resource as soon as they need help.

support for pre-assessment of a large ongoing hydro test program. They have inspected pipelines from Bakersfield to Monterrey to Napa to Chico, some as old as 1926. Managing the environmental and biological requirements in California is quite a challenge. Bio-monitors helped crews avoid disrupting or stepping on snakes, frogs or endangered beetles. They took it seriously as fines could be in excess of $250,000!

Ron is completing a four month assignment in California providing inline inspection (ILI) survey

He enjoys the job site as you can see by the photo he is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and vineyards.

Dave Valensisi - Locator - Long Island, NY “ Stopping unsafe work isn’t a right given to us by someone else. Stopping unsafe work is an obligation that we hold ourselves and each other to.” Here is the story of one Premier employee who brought this Safety Principle to life... To the left is a photo of a road washed out from a heavy rain storm in Medford, NY. The end of a gas main is exposed as well as a live 3-phase electric primary! Locator, Dave Valensisi came across this scene and decided to stop and take action. Rather than just leave the site, he chose to stay there and guard the area so vehicles and pedestrians wouldn’t get too close. He waited on site until the appropriate

To all employees,

As most of you know there was a great deal of personnel changes announced at Premier recently. One of those announced changes was my new responsibility as the Integrity Solutions Director of Health and Safety. To kick off my new responsibilities, I thought I would take some time to introduce myself and give you an idea of how I view Health and Safety.

Over the last couple of years I have been working for and mentoring under Craig See as Health and Safety Manager for Premier and Professional Services and it is with great excitement and anticipation that I have accepted this new challenge. With over 18 years of Health and Safety experience in the oil and gas industry, I have had the opportunity to work with many great people and companies and have experienced a variety of different challenges. Every company I have ever worked for had many things in commom; good people, solid leadership, good products or services and a strong desire to be successful throughout the organization. Premier has all of these things and that gives us a tremendous foundation for our business. In terms of Health and Safety, Premier has made great improvements in the past three years. That is a testament to your hard work and dedication. But, we have a lot of work ahead of us to take the next step to become a world class safety organization; the kind of organization where you would be happy to send your sons or daughters to work. World class safety organizations have the following in common: 1. Measurable Programs - Company safety performance (injury and illness rates, workers compensation insurance rates, restricted duty rates) is constantly measured by our clients and can determine whether we can work for them or not. World class organizations also measure the proactive things that

prevent injuries to positively affect performance numbers! What gets measured gets managed. 2. Visibility - Company programs, policies, procedures, processes and most importantly employee participation must be visible to everyone in the organization. Clearly defined roles, goals and performance standards hold everyone accountable and demonstrate caring. What we experience defines what we believe. 3. Personal - The value of our own safety and that of our coworkers must be personal and must be recognized every time a task is performed. In closing, I am excited for the opportunity and have tremendous confidence in all of you that together, we can continue our momentum and reach our goal of becoming a world class safety organization.
