Clear Creek Greenway: Bakerville-Loveland Trail l Grizzly Peak Trail u Loveland Pass Lake Trail l Mount Sniktau Trail u West Ridge Trail n Loveland Pass is located on the Continental Divide on U.S. 6 at an elevation of 11,990 feet. It’s a popular destination for winter backcountry recreation and skiers or snowboarders looking for a lift to the top are a common sight. Trails to nearby mountain peaks can be accessed from a parking lot on the Continental Divide. Loveland Ski Area is located at the exit on the eastern end of the pass while Arapahoe Basin Ski Area and Summit County are on the west side. It is the original route over the Divide. Loveland Pass summit

This 9.8-mile, lightly-trafficked, out-and-back paved trail parallels the interstate and frozen waters of Clear Creek as it goes through the forest. The trail entrance is north of the Loveland Valley parking lot. It has an easy grade and snowcat grooming during the winter season provides an improved experience for fat bikes, cross-country skiers and snowshoers. It is closed to snowmobiles. The Continental Divide Trail also overlaps with this trail, connecting to the Herman Gulch trail head via an interstate underpass. LOVELAND SKI AREA Operating since 1936, Loveland Ski Area at I-70 Exit 216 is near to the hearts and homes of generations of Colorado skiers and riders. High atop the Continental Divide, the ski area features 11 lifts serving 1,800 acres with 94 trails. Loveland has free snowcat skiing, an innovative lesson program and two base areas —including one just for beginners — with rental shops, sport shops, restaurants and bars. The 31st Valentine’s Day Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony on Feb. 14, 2022, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., is a Loveland Ski Area tradition where new couples are joined in matrimony and married couples renew vows in a mass wedding at 12,050 feet. Pre-register to receive a two-for-one lift tickets.

For over 60 years Loveland Ski Area has hosted America’s largest amateur ski race, the Loveland
