62nd Assembly District Republican Central Committee LOVE MY REPUBLIC…Ben Franklin said, “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.” This is why our forefathers created a Republic and not a direct democracy. They wanted to make sure that one group of people, one government body, one state, and most certainly, one man, could not have all controlling power. When governing powers became one-sided, Abraham Lincoln became the first Republican President, ensuring a voice for political minorities. As one of California’s most active districts, the 62nd Assembly District Republican Central Committee has been bringing you voter outreach events featuring local candidates, without the help of the state or national party. Some of the candidates, participating with the parade entry include Ted Grose, John Wood, John Morris, Elan Carr, Suzanne Fuentes, Rick Marshall, and Pete Peterson. By donating and volunteering locally, you’re safeguarding a strong Republic by ensuring local needs are addressed. To find out more, log on to the website 62AD.LAGOP. ORG and call (310) 486-5735.
