TEACHES

Hi! My name is Beary. My doctor wanted to learn more about me today.

My grownup brought me to the hospital to have my picture taken with an MRI machine.

An MRI machine is a really big, round camera that takes pictures of the inside of my body. It kind of looks like a donut!

When I got to the hospital, I got a bracelet with my name on it!

Then, my nurse checked to see how big and tall I am.

I needed to get my vitals checked, too. First, my nurse gave my arm a tight squeeze with a blood pressure cuff.

Then they took my temperature and checked my breathing with a little clip on my finger. It didn't stay on for long.

A lot of doctors and nurses talked to my grownup while I rested for a little while. They asked me a few questions, too.

Then I got to change into new pajamas!

Then I decorated a special mask with stickers and gave it a nice smell!

My nurse gave me a little medicine to drink. I didn't like the taste, but it didn't last for long. It helped me feel calm and relaxed.

Then it was time for my pictures. I took a ride right on my bed to a new room that had the camera in it. There were a lot of doctors and nurses there. They took really good care of me.

I laid down on the bed outside of the camera. I got to wear a seatbelt, just like in the car.

A doctor placed the mask that I made over my nose and mouth. I breathed in medicine that made me fall asleep.

I woke up in a new room with an IV in my arm. It was a small straw that gave me medicine during my surgery.

My nurse and grownup were with me too!

My nurse said that my IV will come out before I go home. Now I get to eat a small snack and have a drink!
